Police Major Chayaporn from Pattaya Police Station was called to the SV Apartments in Central Pattaya in the early hours of Thursday Morning to investigate a robbery inside one of the rooms. Police were met by Khun Kwan-neun aged 35 who rents the room and works as a Tour Guide based in Bangkok. The distraught victim explained that she had accompanied a group of Uzbekistani Tourists from Bangkok to Pattaya and was out at the time of the robbery. She returned to her room after work and after taking a shower went to a local convenience store to purchase some items.

10 minutes later she returned to her room and found her front door was open. She entered her room and found her bag had been ransacked. Inside the bag was a Gold Necklace worth 30,000 Baht, 170,000 Baht in cash, a mobile phone and her Passport. Police did arrest one suspect who works at the Apartments but no charges have been brought against him as yet. For now the victim is facing the fact that she may never see her valuables again.
