On my last trip I picked up a Seagate Barracuda 400 GB drive. Not SATA. I use it with an firewire 800 enclosure to my powerbook but I think it's time to consider increasing capacity. What is the largest 3.5 inch drive available today and what's the pricing like at Panthip.

Pata, i believe the largest you can get is 500GB. For SATA for now they go up to 1000GB, but the drives are harder to find at some stores.

Seagate shows ATA drives as high as 750 gb.

SATA would require I need a new enclosure? They aren't backward compatible with ATA right?
