Buy Thai gold now, or wait 6 months?

Featured Replies

Thai gold prices seem to be dropping.  Is now the best time to buy, or will rates drop further in the next 6 months?

  • Popular Post

It's dropping because of the strong THB/USD cross rate and a recently declining USD gold price from an all time peak.  The USD price of gold peaked circa USD3,500 a few months ago and is now hovering in a range of USD3,350 3,380 and looking to break USD3,400

My advice, don't chase the odd 50 buck price variation of gold - view gold as long term preservation of wealth as opposed to a commodity, and make your decision.

Just remember that anybody holding a decent chunk of their wealth in gold is praying nightly for two things at once - rampant monetary inflation, and near-zero inflation. Neither can be true at the same time.

If you chart the price of gold over the long term, it never fails to go up year after year.

Buy some now, buy more later. It depends on what your long-term range is. If you expect to go another 20 years,

I would buy it. Dollar average as well. Buy it low, buy it high. It will still go up eventually. Especially after the US economy crashes.

LOL! Dropping? I call it nomal fluctations. I bought my gold years ago and stopped when it passed 30K, and regret that I did. With gold at 50K+ I am not so sure there is much more to gain. But thats what I believed when it passed 30K!! I think it will be safe for a while still. I am NOT selling now...and not buying..🙄

If drump pushes to revalue the price of gold , to reduce the 36 trillion dollars debt, you will kick yourself if you don’t buy now, the Chinese are buying it like crazy now too!

such foolishness, please refrain from any more

At the bank you get 1.5% at best, really no hard to beat that.

I bought end of January, and so far am 15 years ahead on what I get at the bank.

The last month the price has declined a few %, but I don't worry that at the end I won't beat the bank interest hands down.
