Do people feel safe in DC? As for crime being down 36% what types of crimes? Have some crimes been downgaded so they no longer show on crime stats? Theft of goods under a certain amount for example. Are people especially youths committing crimes but the justice system lets them off with no criminal conviction? Last year there were 187 homicides in a poulation of just over 700,000. Australia July 2023-July 2024 there were 277 homicides. Population 27,000,000.

Of course what would be most laudable, in this crackdown on lawlessness and crime in Washington DC would be a no holds barred investigation into and prosecution for any sexual crimes involving young people.

 

As Washington DC is the nation's capital it could be a nationwide investigation, ranging as far afield perhaps as New York and Florida!

 

I understand that the Federal Authorities already have significant information on this, some of which perhaps involves some very high profile people who currently live in DC.

Depends what "news" you're talking about. Unlike some on here I give MSNBC a miss. As for "I'm going to Russia" as I said it's a freudian slip, misspoken or nuance . What it clearly ISN"T is evidence of dimentia. With one more word inserted it would be clear. "I'm going to meet Russia". Obviously "I'm going to meet Putin in Alaska" is the ideal sentence but this is just grasping at straws by all that look for the smallest thing to have a go a Trump with. 

I'm sure that Red States/Cities with very high crime rates, higher than D.C., will also get the attention of trump, who will deploy the national guard.
