WASHINGTON - A U.S. Army veteran was taken into custody in front of the White House on Monday after burning a flag in protest of one of President Donald Trump's latest executive order.  

 

The order states that burning the American Flag is now an offense that can be prosecuted, with the White House saying that, "Burning this representation of America may incite violence and riot."

 

What they're saying:

The Trump administration released the order on Monday, Aug. 25. 

 

"Our great American Flag is the most sacred and cherished symbol of the United States of America, and of American freedom, identity, and strength," the order reads. "Desecrating it is uniquely offensive and provocative.

Anybody who can't see the US is in terrible trouble is an idjit! Burning flags is protected speech under a Supreme Court ruling. Of course, now we have rule by tweet.
