Mental illness not exclusive to US. Japan overall gun deaths is 0.01 per 100,000 people compare to USA 13.7 per 100,000. It is the gun, stupid and the Republicans are complicit in allowing too much leeway on gun laws.

No, it's still mental illnesses, as people will kill others using a variety of methods. Look at all the knife crimes both here and in the UK. What leeway is there in gun laws? People will also get guns if they are illegal or not, and most gun crimes in the US are gangs and suicides anyway.

Just another day in the mass shooting capital of planet earth. I hear some people continually talking about America being number one, well it is number one when it comes to mass shootings. America is a nation that absolutely adores its guns, and seems to adore in equal measure it's violence.

Chances are that assessment will bring all kinds of bizarre strange and convoluted criticism from the MAGA folks, who just cannot seem to handle critiques of the US these days, with their increasingly softer skin and snowflake culture.

People love guns all over the world, but people do not adore violence there. It just happens, here, there and everywhere. Thailand is slowly increasing it's mass shootings and gun crimes, and when you look at it years from now, it will still be increasing as the enforcement here will always be lackadaisical compared to the west. Have you ever noticed the daily intentional murders that happen here, many of people killing members of their own families? Higher than the US, along with the daily knife and machete murders over petty things, which isn't happening back in the west. It's mostly gang violence and suicides that comprise the gun crimes.

Funny, you know where ALL of these shooting happen ?
Thats right, gun free zones.  The mentally ill are smart enough to pick places where the odds of someone shooting back are near zero

So yes, arm everyone.

The rate in EU is 22 !!!! times lower than in US. (Death tolls by arms)

I'll wait for your explanation 😂

Bit before my time, but thanks.

Thought I would help news orgs, who like to have 'key takeaways" summaries... who's got time, right? And mass shootings in USA are everyday occurrences (488 so far this year...).

Very weak argument. Can't take you serious to compare lethal killings by knife and firearm. Really make nonsence of the idiom 'never bring knife to a gunfight'.

Certainly looks like another crazed leftist trans Pro Palestine nutter.

Looking forward to the cover-up.

There is a lot of mental illness in the USA compared to the rest of the world.

Maybe weak to you but factual.

That's your opinion, and is wrong

No.

If it's my opinion....it can't be wrong.

Therefore it's an opinion and not evidence though it could.

Your opinion can be different.

Opinion doesn't mean knowledge based on facts.

Next time think first = my opinion.

But there are still mass shootings that happen everywhere, including Thailand.

It's still wrong. Owning a gun has nothing to do with having a mental illness. Murder of innocents does.

Maybe higher than many but Australia has the most. Higher population does mean more cases of course.

Sad, that you didn't answer to my comment.

Too difficult for you? Ok

Most mentally ill people aren't particularly violent.  So the question is who radicalized this person and for what purpose?  They need to be held accountable.

Then you support State provided counselling for such troubled young people?

Yes. I would love to see their treatment provided to them for free, in places like Iran.

Looking forward to your facts. First start with the number of homicides by knife and firearms per 100,000 in UK and compare that to USA homicide by firearms. You can also provide the facts on homicides in Thailand since you make some references. I am waiting.

I know the rates in all countries, and know how many happen in the US. I don't make excuses for the violence happening there and elsewhere. Thailand has a higher intentional homicide rate than the US and also has mass shootings happening every year, including in a school. Thailand's gun violence, along with other homicides, is and will continue to increase yearly. Homicides happen every day everywhere, as mental illness occurs everywhere. The more people, the more crimes. Again, no excuses for the US as there is a problem that needs to be curtailed, but no one has any answers that will work. You can always look up criminal stats online easy. Some people think this country is somehow exempt from  crimes but more people here are killed daily than you think, and a lot of it is intentional. Most gun crimes are gangs and suicides.

Three 7s for your hoax code.

Codes all over this one.

If it weren't a hoax I'd wonder where God was.

You wrong on Thailand higher homicide rate than USA. I will give you the facts. Homicide rate in USA around 6.4 to 6.8 per 100,000 people in recent years compare to Thailand 2.6 per 100,000. US is not in good company comparing murder rates with narco countries like Mexico, Columbia etc.

Intentional homicide rate is different than the regular rate. People kill others here all the time over petty things. The rate fluctuates and sometimes Thailand is higher,
