Which store sells the better pork loin for oven roasting?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

I doubt one can get USA pork for roasting in an oven here in Thailand.

But, maybe USA pork is not the best, anyway...and I have no clue about comparative quality.

So then, what is the best?

Might it be imported from Australia?

There is nothing worse than a tough roast of pork.

One would rather not even try to roast one, if it meant tough meat.

There is no Costco in Thailand....

So then what?

Tks.

Note:  When I checked last, I think I saw pork loin for about Bt.150 per kg

I only buy meat from Makro, as it's all pretty much the same (from chain stores), unless going high end.  When roasting, you don't need to.   Although I'd recommend a pork tenderloin over loin.  Guaranteed tender, unless you screw it up :cheesy:

Oh yea, don't forget to tuck the thin end under, for even cooking.

No need for overpriced imported pork.   Beef, maybe, and I only buy Harvey brand (imported) at Makro for beef.  Pork & chicken, and local is fine, but not from fresh/wet market, as may be anything but fresh.

They're small, but tasty when done right ...
