Police in Nonthaburi are investigating the death of a man found lying dead by the roadside in Bang Bua Thong district early morning, on 9 August.

Officers from Bang Bua Thong Police Station were called to a footpath near the entrance of a village in Wat Lat Pla Duk alley at around 03.00. At the scene, they found the body of an unidentified man, estimated to be 35–40 years old, lying on his back. Nearby, a pair of wire cutters and a head torch were found, while a section of overhead wiring had been cut and was dangling, leaving parts of the road unlit.

A security officer from a neighbouring village said a man had reported finding the unconscious victim. Security staff and the informant went to investigate and discovered the body, prompting them to call the police. The informant reportedly left the scene quickly after alerting authorities.

Preliminary examination by the on-duty doctor found no signs of electrocution or external injuries. Police believe the man may have been attempting to cut the overhead wires while standing on a raised position, possibly a tree, and fell. Forensic autopsy will determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are also investigating the identity and potential involvement of the person who reported the incident.
