Senators Press RFK Jr on Vaccine Stance and CDC Overhaul

Robert F. Kennedy Jr faced intense scrutiny from lawmakers on Thursday as they grilled him about his leadership and vaccine policies during a heated hearing. He stood firm, defending his sweeping changes in US health agencies, particularly the controversial removal of experts from the CDC advisory panel.

Democrats accused Kennedy of lying and blocking vaccine access, while Republicans offered a mixed response, praising some initiatives but questioning the execution. The hearing followed a recent tumultuous decision to dismiss 600 CDC employees and the agency's head, sparking alarm among health professionals.

In June, Kennedy's dramatic overhaul of the independent vaccine advisory panel created a stir, with experts warning about the qualifications of the new appointees, some of whom oppose vaccines. Tensions soared during the committee session as Kennedy responded sharply to criticism about limiting Covid-19 vaccine access, an issue that continues to divide opinions.

Senators from both parties questioned Kennedy's understanding of vaccine efficacy data, although he insisted the vaccines saved "quite a few" lives. Despite this, he cited "data chaos" from the previous administration as a hindrance. As discussions strained, Senator Cassidy, a doctor by profession, pushed Kennedy on Covid-19 booster availability, reported the BBC.

This political drama unfolds against a backdrop of public concern over vaccine misinformation, with many health officials accusing Kennedy of undermining trust in public health measures. The US grapples with its worst measles outbreak in decades, further fuelling the debate on the necessity and safety of vaccines under Kennedy's tenure.

What's nonsense?

That the CDC hid data regarding the MMR and autism, or that Elizabeth Warren took in close to a $million from Pharma PACs in one election cycle alone?

Keep in mind that Kennedy's under penalty of perjury...

Kennedy was NOT under oath today at senate hearings

You have a quote: cite your sources. Kind of like science... without evidence, your opinion is just opinion

No connection between autism and vaccines. Other countries also study this: 650,000 children in Denmark, for example. paste this into google search for more info and links "valid studies that show no link between vaccines and autism"

I’m going with the science not some crackpot with a brain worms nor any crackpots on the internet.

"Most Americans still don’t know that alcohol can cause cancer — and the alcohol industry is working hard to make sure it stays that way.

For the past three years, the industry, aided by its allies in Congress and later the Trump administration, has sought to discredit and eventually bury a major analysis that offers new evidence of the link between drinking alcohol and getting sick and dying from various causes, including cancer.

It appears their campaign has succeeded. Three co-authors on the Alcohol Intake and Health Study, which was commissioned in early 2022 by the US Department of Health and Human Services under President Joe Biden, told Vox that they were informed last month that the Trump administration did not intend to publish the final draft of the study or its findings."

Exclusive: RFK Jr. and the White House buried a major study on alcohol and cancer. Here’s what it shows.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is a branch of the WHO. It listed alcohol as a Class 1 carcinogen in 1988, linking cancers of the mouth, pharynx, larynx, esophagus, liver, colorectum and female breast.

Trump has cut funding to the WHO, and seeks to withdraw from it. His concern for the health of Americans is quite heartwarming.

Historically similar things have happened, smoking, leaded petrol.......if Kennedy is so worried about health he should be focussing on the big hitters......tobacco and alcohol.

Despite tobacco being the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., RFK Jr. has avoided discussing it in his public health messaging. He didn’t mention smoking at all in his Make America Healthy Again report, which aimed to spotlight major health threats.

 Summary of His Position

•  Tobacco: Avoids direct confrontation; removed key FDA tobacco regulator; silent in major health reports.

•  Alcohol: Allegedly suppressed cancer-linked study; poised to revise dietary guidelines without incorporating those findings.

Members of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s family are calling for him to step down as US health secretary following a contentious congressional hearing, during which he faced serious questioning about his tumultuous leadership of federal health agencies.

Kennedy’s sister, Kerry Kennedy, and his nephew, Joseph P. Kennedy III, issued scathing statements on Friday, a day after Kennedy had to defend his recent efforts to pull back Covid-19 vaccine recommendations and fire high-level officials at the Centres for Disease Control at a three-hour Senate hearing.

“Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a threat to the health and wellbeing of every American,” Joseph P. Kennedy III said in a post on X. The former congressman added: “None of us will be spared the pain he is inflicting.”

‘None of us will be spared’: RFK Jr’s family call on him to quit

Loonies on both sides of the pond.

A leading medical adviser to anti-vax Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is claiming that King Charles and Kate Middleton may have developed cancer from the COVID-19 vaccine.

It was announced last year that Charles and his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, were being treated for cancer.

Dr. Aseem Malhotra—the controversial British cardiologist who advises the RFK Jr.-linked activist group MAHA Action—says he believes they could have developed cancer from the COVID mRNA vaccine, citing discredited studies that have also been promoted by senior Department of Health and Human Services adviser Steven Hatfill, who became infamous for pushing hydroxochloroquine when he was part of the first Trump administration.

For those of you interested in who is leading the investigation into the causes of autism .......you are going to be shocked to your core.........

Appointment by RFK Jr.

David Geier was recently appointed by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead a federal study on the causes of autism.

- **Not a licensed doctor**: Geier has never held a medical license and was previously charged in Maryland for practicing medicine without one.

- **Lupron treatments**: Alongside his father, Dr. Mark Geier, he promoted the use of Lupron—a hormone suppressant typically used to treat prostate cancer and delay puberty—as a treatment for autism. Their theory linked mercury from vaccines and testosterone to autism symptoms, claiming Lupron could mitigate these effects.

- **Scientific rejection**: Their studies were widely discredited and retracted. The medical community condemned the treatments as unethical and unsupported by evidence.

- **Patent attempt**: The Geiers even filed a patent for using Lupron to treat autism, despite lacking clinical validation.

This moron just might be too much even for the clown show that is Trump 2.0.
