Can you actually make a sensible response that does not include your usual inaccurate "leftie/lefty" response?

Being anti Trump/MAGA does not automatically mean that the person making that statement is either left/right etc.

It means they are anti TRUMP and anti MAGA!

A more accurate statement would be poor Americans and the rest of the world’s democracys.

MAGA has created it's very own Horst Wessel!

I stand corrected. There are signs of life as we know it and I do know and have worked with some very fine Americans.

Well I would certainly hope so. But I suspect the ones still left after the Doge purge probably find it cute.

You’re probably right -- the purges were pretty extensive at some agencies, and I’m sure many other people simply resigned, especially if they had job prospects elsewhere (the private sector pays more). My wife, who worked as a foreign commercial officer for many years until taking early retirement, says there’s no way she could have stayed on in government service under the current regime.

Exactly. Wessel was more anonymous when he was murdered and then elevated to martyrdom, and I thought they were trying to shoehorn Ashli Babbitt into that role (with military funeral honors etc.), but the MAGAts seem much more excited about Charlie Kirk, so he’ll do nicely. (Now it’s up to someone like Jason Aldean to write “The Charlie Kirk Song.”)

It’s remarkable to witness in real time how history continues to repeat itself.

Yeah, there were/are a lot more leftists applauding Kirk's murder than Ashli Babbit's

Perhaps they could put one in front of the Oklahoma federal building as a testimonial to what divisive rhetoric can lead to??ehh??

So I guess America was "great" in 1984...George Orwell's 1984.

No doubt AG Bondi has been instructed to prosecute thought crime.

When I think of Orwell and gov't, I think of Animal Farm.  Some pigs are more equal than others.

IMO, he did not write the speech himself, didn't even read it before he gave it.

Well no, apart from never having read Orwell or probably any other authors mentioned - if he was quoting literary connections between the USA and UK he could have mentioned Mark Twain, Steinbeck, Harper Lee - perhaps not the last two - they are irrevocably woke after all; his speech did have a couple of quite long words in It, even for a stable genius!

Very typical of the least modest man in America, self-glorification seems to be within his DNA, and it is often times the hallmark of somebody with very low self-esteem, and self-hatred, which he tries to mask through bluster and braggadachio. Don is an

incredibly sad specimen.

He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W. look smart and articulate. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws - he would make a Trump. And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: 'My God… what… have… I… created?

Unappealing, unattractive, idiotic, incompetent, hateful, hurtful, abrasive, rude, blowhard, liar, cheater, thief, infantile, failure, loser, fraud, sexual abuser, incestuous, tax cheat, insurrectionist, un-American, dictator-loving dictator wannabe, out of control, sociopathic, convicted felon, toxic narcissist & brutish A-hole.

Everything about the con-man referred to as Trump is unlikeable. He's everything wrong with the human animal, all stuffed into one specimen.

So true. If you went around actively looking for a person less suited for the job of POTUS it'd be very, very hard to find someone worse than Trump.
