just bought a sata dvd burner and was wondering do i just plug it into any old sata connection on my MB.

the MB itself has in one group six sata points I:E sata1, sata2, sata3, sata4, sata5, sata6 also away from this grouping is another labeled raid01.

the only sata devices i have are the new burner and a 500gig HD.

would i just plug the HD into sata1 and the burner into sata2 ??

this is my MB,

You can use any SATA port. I have 2 SATA hard drives and a SATA DVD-Writer. Just for 'tidyness' I put them in sequence, HD - sata1, sata2, CD - sata3
