September 27, 2025Sep 27 I need to add a PIR sensor to a 10w led wall light. It is under the car parking area and does not get wet. Would this cable be suitable? https://shopee.co.th/-3-เมตร-3C-x-0.5-sq.mm-สาย-YSLY-JZ-YSLY-OZ-สายไฟ-YSLY-JZ-สาย-YSLY-OZ-Multicore-flexible-cable-สายคอนโทล-สายไฟโรงงา...-i.95326684.11250985483
September 27, 2025Sep 27 The cable itself is well within its ratings on a 10W LED so that would be no issue. It is considered poor practice (or even illegal) to use a green or green/yellow wire as a current carrying conductor even with sleeving on the ends. Unlike the Shopee illustration most of the 3 core flex I've seen here actually has black, grey and brown conductors so the above doesnt apply. So, like many things here it's Up2U. There is nothing wrong with the spec of the cable you suggested, only the wrong color of wire. Just look for a cable with black, grey brown wires
