Water Meter Thieves Apprehended

On August 12th, at 4.30am Banglamung Police were informed by an owner of an apartment, Khun Watcharin Kueagoonthammagoon, aged 45, on August 12th, that water meters were being removed by thieves at the apartments.

Police rushed to the scene to find two offenders sawing off water meters. Once they saw the Police they jumped onto their motorbike and sped off. Police followed closely, seeing one of the offenders throwing a shoulder bag containing 7 meters plus an aluminum pipe on the road. Eventually the motorbike crashed and the two men were apprehended at Highway 36.

The two were taken to the police Station where they were identified as brothers, Teerapong Yamdet, aged 25 and Pratchaya Yamdet, aged 19. Both offenders have been charged with theft and now await their court dates.
