Koh Phangan tourism police in Surat Thani Province arrested 37-year-old Russian national Mikhail Shatskii, on 20 October 2025, for operating an unlicensed motorcycle and car rental service. The arrest followed a tip-off about his bamboo-shed shop on Ban Maduea Wan, along Thong Sala–Chalok Lam Road. Police conducted a sting operation with a undercover officer posing as a customer, resulting in Shatskii handing over a Mitsubishi car and 2,000 baht in cash before being detained.

Woman Injured in Self-Harm Incident at Pattaya Bar

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre in Pattaya received a report, at 01:30 on 19 October 2025, of a self-harm incident at a beer bar on Pattaya Beach Road 13/2, Chonburi. Rescue volunteers arrived at the scene to find a 35-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Natty, with a neck injury and bleeding, lying on the floor awaiting assistance. She received first aid before being rushed to hospital for further treatment, while nearby tourists were visibly alarmed by the incident.

Hospital Files Complaint After Pickup Blocks Ambulance

Personnel from Plai Phraya Hospital in Krabi Province filed a complaint, on 20 October 2025, after a pickup truck blocked an emergency ambulance, delaying transport of a critically ill patient to Krabi Hospital. The delay, lasting more than 10 minutes, possibly lead to the patient’s death during treatment at Krabi Hospital. Hospital staff presented evidence including CCTV footage and eyewitness statements to the Plai Phraya Police Station.

Woman on Motorcycle Decapitated by Lorry at Traffic Lights

A 45-year-old woman was tragically killed when a ten-wheeled truck ran over her motorcycle at a traffic light in Buriram. The collision occurred at around 11:00, on October 20 at the Nang Rong Post Office intersection in Nang Rong district. Police and rescue teams arrived to find the victim, identified as Mrs. Anchalee from Chok Chai district, Nakhon Ratchasima, dead at the scene, having been decapitated, as she was dragged under the wheels.
