A 51-year-old man was detained for offering illegal pearling sexual enhancement and penile enlargement services from his car in Bangkok. Police arrested Pithaya Moon-in after a sting operation on Kamphaeng Phet 6 Road in Chatuchak district, finding 189 pearling beads and medical supplies in his possession. The arrest highlights ongoing concerns about unlicensed medical practices in the region.

Pithaya had been advertising his services on TikTok, attracting the attention of authorities. He conducted procedures either in his car or at clients' homes to avoid detection. Pearling, which involves inserting beads under the skin for sexual enhancement, is known to pose health risks such as infections, chronic pain, and penile dysfunction.

During the investigation, Pithaya admitted he was not a licensed medical professional, yet provided these procedures for income. His charges ranged from 1,000 baht per bead to 10,000 baht for penile enlargement services. Police Major General Khongkrit Lertsitthisakul confirmed that Pithaya aimed to operate discreetly to evade legal repercussions.

Experts caution against such unregulated medical enhancements due to significant health risks. This incident underscores the need for greater awareness of the dangers of non-professional operations. Authorities are likely to monitor similar activities closely and educate the public about safe medical practices.

As this case unfolds, it may lead to stricter regulations and enforcement against illegal medical services in Thailand. The police have not disclosed further actions but are expected to continue their investigations into such practices.
