Police in Bangkok arrested a 29-year-old woman for trafficking two 17-year-old girls for sexual services at a hotel in the Bang Rak district. The operation, carried out on 24 October 2025, involved a sting operation organised by Bang Rak police, who also recovered 5,000 baht in cash as evidence. The victims were rescued unharmed during the raid.

The investigation began after Bang Rak police received intelligence that the suspect could provide minors for sexual services. A confidential informant arranged a meeting at a restaurant in the Suriyawong area at 20:30 on 24 October, where the suspect brought the two girls before proceeding to a nearby hotel.

At 22:10, the informant indicated that the girls were preparing to provide sexual services, prompting police to enter the hotel room numbered 315. The victims were found in towels, attempting to provide services and the suspect was apprehended at the restaurant. Officers found 5,000 baht in cash in a black handbag, corresponding to the cost of services and the suspect’s fee for arranging the girls.

During questioning, the suspect admitted to acting as an intermediary to provide minors for sexual exploitation, receiving financial gain for her role. Police formally charged her with human trafficking, arranging or facilitating sexual services of minors for others’ gratification.

Authorities plan to continue the investigation and provide assistance to the rescued victims, ensuring they receive protection and support while legal proceedings move forward. The case highlights ongoing concerns over underage exploitation in Bangkok and reinforces the use of sting operations in combating human trafficking.
