Police commanders and senior Israeli security officials met in Phuket on Sunday, October 27, 2025, to resolve disputes over restricted access to Chabad centres across Thailand and to tackle concerns about misconduct by Israeli tourists. The high-level discussions took place at the Regional Police Bureau 8 headquarters and marked a coordinated effort to strengthen cooperation between Thai authorities and Israeli representatives.

The Israeli delegation, led by Mr. Avi Bitton, Senior Advisor to the Israeli National Security Council, included embassy representatives, Israeli security officers stationed in Thailand, and Chabad security heads. They met with Pol. Lt. Gen. Jarut Srutayaporn, Deputy Commander of Police Region 8; Pol. Lt. Gen. Suwat Suksri, Surat Thani Provincial Police Commissioner and Pol. Lt. Gen. Sinlert Sukhum, Phuket Provincial Police Commissioner.

Talks centred on the issue of six Chabad centres in Thailand, located in Pai (Mae Hong Son), Koh Samui and Koh Phangan (Surat Thani) and Kathu and Chalong (Phuket), which have been denying entry to Thai authorities. The centres are known for maintaining strict security protocols, with private guards preventing access by outsiders, including local law enforcement. Chabad representatives explained that these measures stem from safety concerns related to ongoing regional security tensions.

After discussion, the Israeli officials agreed to establish a cooperative framework that would allow Thai police to carry out regular inspections and maintain contact with the centres ensuring transparency while respecting security needs. Both sides emphasised that cooperation and information sharing were key to maintaining mutual trust and public safety.

Another major topic was the growing number of complaints regarding inappropriate or unlawful behaviour by Israeli tourists in Thailand. Pol. Lt. Gen. Suwat confirmed that these issues were discussed “frankly,” noting that Chabad security leaders and local rabbis would work together to educate visiting Israelis about Thai laws and cultural norms.

He stressed a firm stance on law enforcement: “The Israeli security team confirmed we should proceed with legal action immediately without exceptions for any violations.” The police commander expressed confidence that this new understanding would help reduce the frequency of legal and social issues involving Israeli nationals in the country.

Leftism has nothing to do with it. It is one group behaving particularly badly and excluding everyone else… as they do. Thai authorities can’t gain access on their own turf? It’s not an embassy; tool up and get in there. If the Israelis can’t play ball with these centres, they should be shut down and moved on. Don’t come over here creating strife!

Because their behavior comes nothing close to it, that's how bad it is. Not understand why they even have a meeting, the only solution is to send them back. The same issues now also come to light in many other countries including sri lanka, vietnam, cyprus and many others.

The fact they are able to get this bad reputation with so few people on the entire world, in such a short time, in a way it really means 9/10 behave like this, is quite incredible. Maybe a new world record? Having said that they now run around with their tails between their legs down south.

Based on recent reports and social media discussions in 2025, there appears to be growing discontent among some Filipinos toward Israelis, particularly in the context of tourism, migration, and geopolitical issues. This sentiment isn't universal but has been highlighted in protests, online discourse, and news coverage. Here's a breakdown of the key factors contributing to this:

1. Israeli Tourism and Presence in Philippine Islands

  • A significant influx of Israeli tourists and residents to popular destinations like Siargao and Boracay has sparked local backlash. Residents have expressed concerns over cultural shifts, environmental impacts, and alleged disrespectful behavior, including reports of Israelis treating Filipino workers poorly or referring to them derogatorily. For instance, plans to establish an "Israeli community" on Boracay have led to protests, with locals feeling displaced by tourism development.
  • This ties into broader frustrations with over-tourism, where Israelis are sometimes singled out amid the ongoing Gaza conflict, with some Filipinos rejecting Israeli visitors in solidarity with Palestinians.

2. Geopolitical and Solidarity Issues

  • The Philippines' decision to halt new arms purchases from Israel, announced by Defense Minister Gilbert Teodoro in September 2025, reflects shifting relations amid global isolation of Israel due to the Gaza situation. This move has been celebrated by some Filipinos as a stand against perceived Israeli aggression.
  • Pro-Palestine protests in the Philippines have linked local activism to the Gaza genocide, with groups like Anakbayan calling out U.S. and Israeli actions. Some Filipinos view Israeli migration to the Philippines as an escape from regional conflicts, fueling resentment.

3. Treatment of Filipinos in Israel

  • Reports of poor working conditions for Filipino caregivers and workers in Israel have added to the anger. Amid escalating conflicts (e.g., with Iran), many Filipinos in Israel have sought repatriation, highlighting vulnerabilities.

You have to be a pretty <deleted>ty population if you have the biggest 2 populations in the world behaving better on average than Israeli's, don't you think that alone is a sign on the wall?

I do laugh at those "ands" added to stories .

The Filipinos left Israel mainly dues to concern about  war with Iran .

Add an "and" to make it appear that Filipinos left Israel because of poor working conditions 🙂

*Filipinos  left Israel  because Bob Smith was moving there and the potential war with Iran*

Your behavior is a mirror of what everyone hates. You prove the point each time just by showing up in this forum with your meaningless and unwanted + disliked replies. Perhaps learn to read the room for a start.

They never do mate.

That is their problem, not just here, not just Thailand but everywhere they go.

They get around thinking they own the place and talk down to Thais as if their money built Thailand.

Nick and angryguy already deflecting.

jingthing will be along soon calling us anti semitic for even talking about this ongoing problem.

The Thais need to find a solution.

I don’t think they need to go that far. That is a bit extreme.

I was thinking more of a one hour course and exam before entry.

I doubt there is a lot of apologizing. Thailand knows where the power lies. Israel is far more important to Thailand than the drooling, low class, moronic western anti semites and their terrorist allies.

Easy solution. Every Israeli has to deposit 20,000 baht for the rebuilding of Gaza with the Thai government.

Any misbehaviour, and the government seize the lot, plus deportation.

For good behaviour, half is returned on departure.

Wow.  That's pretty cheeky.  I'll bet there's a lot more entities that wish they could operate without letting the local authorities in for a look-see.

Nigerian princes come to mind.  And Russkie gambling dens social clubs.  And...

Here's what these comments miss. Pretty much all the Israeli tourists are young. That means they just finished their term in the IDF. After following all those military rules for two years, they're like animals let free of the cage.

And they take that wilding out on Thailand and every other country they visit. The difference is, other countries don't put up with it. These kids always travel in groups. Some singles connect with other Israelis here but I have rarely seen Israeli couples.

I was in Mahboonkrong the other day and saw a young Israeli woman shopping for souvenirs. How did I know she's Israeli? Tattoos in Hebrew and, horrifyingly, bullets and bombs. So you know these kids have been following illegal orders. It's a mind-wrecker to kill because someone else is telling you to do so.

Okay, Chabad. A Jewish friend took me to a Chabad synagogue one new year. There were two gates and two guards at each, dressed in camouflage and mercenary attire and carrying automatic weapons. Sorry, folks, but that's just not normal. Do they have legal permission to do this?

I met one man and his twin teenage sons. He told me they were going to join the IDF when they turned 18, to 'got some discipline' and 'serve Jewry'. From a different planet than mine!

What we're objecting to is the arrogance of foreigners who really think they are 'the chosen people' which makes all other people less than. There was the trope of 'the ugly American', maybe still is, people who are not only so clueless to the local culture but really don't care.

I think today this can be applied to 'ugly Israelis'. Instead of enjoying the wonders and beauties of a foreign country, a trip they've saved for, perhaps killed for, they wear their violence like fatigues.

There are no chosen people, or maybe we're all chosen people. Regardless, we're all in this together. They need to learn some tolerance and so do we.

That would get rid of a lot of the worst ones.

There was an incident a couple of weeks ago back in Koh Phangan where three Israelis kicked, kneed, punched and choked a thai woman working at hotel reception for asking them to pay their hotel bill.

For some reason I am not allowed to post that video here but if you search YouTube “Three Israeli men punch, kick, knee and choke a Thai woman after refusing to pay “

you will see it.

Hitting them in the hip pocket is a great idea.

A lot of sign on walls, in restaurants, resorts and shops.

If you actually watch the Thai news which you obviously don’t the last two weeks have been full of “Israel seizing Koh Phangan and social media full of comments from Thais who have had enough of them and unfortunately it is spilling over to foreigners in general thanks to them.

I don’t think it is a case of the worst of all nationalities but the worst nationality.

Ask yourself is there a more disliked nationality on earth?

The Chabad House near Chao Praya is built like Fort Knox. The entrance way is reminiscent of a modern embassy entrance.

Screenshot_20251028_135537_Maps.jpg.b6a70625adfb0bf47175ab398b523778.jpg

To be fair, the old Chabad House near Khao San was targeted around 15 years ago by a bombing.

The Chabad (ultra-orthodox) group are the same ones notoriously filmed popping out of underground tunnels in New York. They believe the Rebbe is the Messiah.
