A 27-year-old Thai woman, identified as Ms. Kanokwan, also known as Bai Mon, died after falling from a high-rise building in Poipet, Cambodia, on 29 October 2025. The circumstances of her death remain unclear and authorities have not identified the cause or any possible suspects.

The incident was first reported on Facebook by a user named “Just an Ordinary Person,” who posted images of the deceased outside the building. The post claimed the building was used for stock trading and suggested that it was unlikely the fall was accidental. The poster added that several Thai nationals have previously died in similar incidents in Poipet without any arrests being made.

Neighbours reported that Kanokwan had left her home in Khon Kaen at the age of 10 to live with her mother in another province and had not returned. She previously lived with her grandmother, aunt and uncle, and her mother and father had separated. A neighbour, Mrs. Patcharee, 51, said Kanokwan was a quiet and reserved child, before leaving home.

Following the Facebook post, the user stated that they had successfully contacted Kanokwan’s mother and were coordinating the repatriation of her body, expected to return to Thailand on 30 October 2025. The post emphasised a commitment to pursue justice for Thai nationals involved in similar incidents.

Authorities have not released further details about the investigation or potential suspects. Observers noted that deaths of Thai nationals in Poipet have raised concerns about safety and oversight in the area, particularly in locations associated with stock trading and online work.

It remains unclear what caused Kanokwan to fall and police are continuing their inquiries. Family members and neighbours are awaiting updates on the repatriation process and any official findings.
