Has anyone got any experience with registering a divorce in the UK? 

Basically details: I married a Thai lady in the UK many years ago, came to Thailand and registered the marriage here. 

Recently we both went to the local Amphur and divorced.. 

I understand this is recognised in the UK, but how do I register it? 

I tried contacting the British Embassy but they simply told me to contact a British lawyer. 

Does anyone know about this subject?
