Zohran Mamdani, a young democratic socialist who shot to stardom and shook up Democratic politics, will be the next mayor of New York City.

Less than 40 minutes after the polls closed at 9 p.m. on Nov. 4, the Associated Press and CNN called the race for Mamdani, the Democratic nominee. Early voting totals showed Mamdani with 51.5% of the vote, far ahead of his next closest opponent, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo with 39.7%. Cuomo ran as an independent after losing to Mamdani in the Democratic primary.

    Oh thank goodness. Perfect result. So after a couple of years(or months) when productive citizens bailed leaving a Caracus style city what will the lefts excuse be? Usually ok but this wasn't REAL sociaism. Anyway mwahahaha this will be delicious. Enjoy🤣
