Police in Nakhon Pathom have issued an arrest warrant for a 48-year-old amulet dealer accused of murdering a 49-year-old widow and dumping her body in a canal. The victim was discovered on 5 November in a waterway belonging to the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority in Bang Len district, with her neck tied with electrical wire and her body weighted down with a concrete block. Forensic experts determined she had been dead for at least three days.

Pol Col Apisak Kamnoed, Superintendent of Bang Len Police Station, ordered an immediate investigation and coordinated with nearby stations to check missing person reports. Officers later found a record made on 3 November by Mr. Natthipong, 26, at Khok Kham Police Station in Samut Sakhon, stating that his mother, Ms. Sakulrat or “Chan,” had gone missing from her home on 2 November around noon. She had left with her iPhone 16 and a red Nissan car and her son feared for her safety.

Initial findings suggest she was lured from her home by someone she knew well and that a personal dispute may have led to her death. Police are examined whether the body was dumped from the Don Khoi area of Kamphaeng Saen district, Nakhon Pathom and checked nearby canal signposts to identify where the wires and concrete may have originated.

According to police sources, the victim was a financially well-off widow who ran a coffee shop and a land mortgage business. She was described as stylish and often wore large gold necklaces. She had reportedly been in a relationship with a well-known amulet dealer in Kamphaeng Saen who was already married, which led to tensions when his wife discovered the affair. Officers suspect the conflict may have escalated into violence, resulting in the woman’s death and disposal of her body.

After gathering sufficient evidence, investigators obtained a warrant from the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court to arrest Mr. Supachok, 48, of Nakhon Pathom province, on charges of murder and concealment or removal of a body to hide the cause of death (Criminal Case No. 770/2568). Police are now pursuing the suspect and expect to bring him into custody soon.
