Analyst warns Bitcoin may drop to $10K, price crashes to $86k

Bitcoin extended its November slump on Nov. 20, briefly dipping below $88,000.

According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin traded around $87,319 intraday, down about 4% over the past 24 hours and nearly 13% on the week, after falling from highs above $103,000 just days ago.

Just a day earlier, Bloomberg's Mike McGlone warned that the market could unwind all the way to $10,000. He added that Bitcoin's current structure reminds him of the major unwinds seen in 2018, when the price collapsed from $10,000 to nearly $3,000.

He cited expanding token supply, late-cycle ETF inflows and a deteriorating macro backdrop.

He added that volatility signals — including the VIX hovering near its 200-day average and the S&P 500’s realized volatility falling to 2017 levels — indicate rising fragility.

Could be related to an issue with Market Makers software glitch/bug that kicked off after Oct 10th crypto flash crash. If so it could be over soon and presents a huge buy opportunity. But who knows for sure. Odd though, when we are at ATHs people feel they have missed the boat and long for cheaper prices for a second chance. Then when it is on sale at 30%+ discount and they have their cheaper prices, people are too fearful to buy. Human emotions 55555. Dollar Cost Average in and then just ignore the noise. It works over the longer term.

What's the point of such a thread? Bitcoin is a volatile asset, that is no news.

It would be more insightful to post info predicting when BTC will again break its last ATH, but of course that day naysayers will be quiet as a mouse.

It shows what a bunch of fools people are for gambling in bitcoin. Sure there was a recent peak because the mentally challenged got sucked in by the criminal Trump family crypto  nonsense, but they've made their billions off your back. Good luck to you. You will need it.

I'm not worried. But it seems you'll be extremely pissed when BTC will recover.

I suggest you buy now while it's on sale!

I'm ok averaging around 12% per annum since about 1987. No need to gamble in that nonsense. Remember the tortoise and the hare? I planned early, stopped working for my money at 45 and let my money work for me instead.

An ideal world made of tortoises sounds incredibly exciting!

Aha you are a yet another missed the boat no-coiner, well well well no surprises with your perspective then. I'm such a fool, in at $3,800, where were you when I needed a father figure to keep me on the straight and 12% narrow [or so you say, I believe a consistent 12% from TradFi as much as you will probably believe my $3,800 entry in Bitcoin 5555]

Hey bud not going to argue with you as it is mind numbingly pointless and a waste of my time debating with no-coiners. However, I do make a habit of taking screen shots of no-coiner comments when yet again your type come out of the woodwork when Bitcoin is dead and going to zero. I like to keep a record of who to get back to later on when we are at new ATHs once again. You are number 3 on my screenshot list ha ha ah. I'll be back like a bad Satoshi to haunt you when we are back at and above $126,000. Don't close your account in the meantime ok 😆

In the unlikely event Bitcoin went back to

say, mid teens,  what would happen?

Would it make any difference to anything?

Not to sane people that understand investing as they wouldn't have any money tied up in the ponzi scheme...

BREAKING:  Some 'analysts' predict it will crash, some predict it will be range bound, some predict it will go up.  Some of them are guaranteed to be right some of the time.

The OP is a valuable bottom indicator, i wish i had him everywhere i went. Id know what not to do

Don't you wish you listened to me in November?

Hey, lemmings, time to buy some more.

Bitcoin hits lowest level since 2024

In a sign of the risk-averse mood, bitcoin earlier slumped nearly 7% and fell just below $73,000, hitting its lowest level since President Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

Do you wish you listened those who recommended to hold since $10, or were you already calling them lemmings buying into a ponzi? ^^

It's always been a ponzi scheme. Always will be. Proof: Trump says it's a good investment...

So <removed> is real after all

I have always considered crypto a Ponzi scheme, but what we see now will lead to the mother of all crashes, I'm afraid.

Stock markets will crash, precious metals will crash, a new world war will happen. We are on our way to the great reset

Yes, agreed. Thankfully I've had a long interesting life and being close to the end of it means I won't have to ”enjoy” much of the reset.

If the global economy is crashing, the main reasons are certainly not Bitcoin or cryptos.

Nobody said crypto was causing the global economy meltdown. I attribute it to tarrifs and the AI bubble.

All scams. Companies that produce real products are not scams.
