I agree with you except for the Thaksin part. 
Thaksin is no relic and Pheu Thai has revamp itself constantly with his daughter being the youngest PM in history and before that Yingluck as the first female PM. That’s as progressive as it can get.

It is the appearance of being progressive, but without any progressive policy. That family is a waste of time for anyone and everyone and few have affection for them anymore.

 

All respect was lost when they teamed up with the army during this latest escapade.
