Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced that Hat Yai has entered a recovery phase as floodwaters have receded, focusing on rapidly restoring essential services like electricity and water. Following a meeting on November 30, 2025, with business leaders, Anutin emphasized clean-up efforts to enable residents to return home swiftly. He led an economic team through the city to assess damage and expedite aid measures.

The government has prioritized restoring normalcy, with the Prime Minister personally assigning tasks to agency heads. While major issues such as floodwaters have been resolved, repairs to internal electrical systems in homes remain crucial. Anutin has ordered the Provincial Electricity Authority to urgently address these issues to ensure full restoration of power.

To tackle solid waste problems, vehicles and machinery from various sectors are being deployed. Local authorities, including the Provincial Governor and Hat Yai Mayor, are authorized to hire contractors for debris removal. Anutin confirmed a target of 7 days for residents to return home and 14 days for the complete clean-up of Hat Yai.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas is leading economic recovery measures, including debt relief and securing loans. Households will be eligible for interest-free loans of 100,000 baht for repairs, repayable over a year, alongside supporting social security measures.

He assured residents of strong support from the government to "reset their lives." This comprehensive approach aims to alleviate the economic impact and hasten a return to normalcy.

Looking ahead, these recovery efforts are expected to proceed over the next two weeks, requiring close monitoring and collaboration among governmental and local authorities. The financial packages and infrastructural repairs will be instrumental in reinstating stability and growth in Hat Yai, reported The Nation.
