A disturbing incident has emerged in Pattaya, where a tourist is accused of groping a woman on a speedboat. The episode took place on November 24 at Bali Hai Pier but came to light after a video was shared on Facebook by the victim's boyfriend, Leo, on December 2. The video shows the tourist apparently offering help to the woman, identified as Gamgung, but allegedly moving his hand inappropriately.

The accused, wearing a red T-shirt and black shorts, was filmed while supposedly assisting Gamgung in disembarking a swaying boat. The woman initially accepted the gesture as a means of balance. However, the situation allegedly turned inappropriate as the man's hand moved to her private area, leading to a flood of criticism from friends and viewers. Many urged the couple to report the incident to the Tourist Police immediately, questioning the cultural explanation offered by some commenters.

The video, subsequently reposted by AEC News Pattaya, accompanied an interview with the couple. Leo revealed that he was unaware of the event until a fellow passenger, who recorded the disembarkation, accidentally captured the incident and sent it to him. He noted that the suspect and his friend, who had been consuming alcohol, displayed no inappropriate behaviour prior to the trip, as reported by The Thaiger.

The couple plans to write an official police report soon, with Leo emphasising his desire to highlight the suspect's behaviour and caution other women. This incident demonstrates the importance of vigilance and respect in tourist areas, as debates on cultural misunderstandings and deliberate misconduct continue.

Key Takeaways

  • A tourist allegedly groped a woman on a Pattaya speedboat, sparking outrage.
  • The incident was captured on video and shared online, drawing widespread condemnation.
  • The couple intends to file an official police report to address the alleged misconduct.

I've never understood the concept of groping, why go somewhere that you are not invited? Why violate somebody in that fashion? I don't get it, especially here when p4p is so readily availabl

  • Totally inappropriate and unnecessary. There's plenty of places in Pattaya to do more than that simply for the cost of a drink. So I'm told.

Why violate somebody in that fashion?

I don't get it, especially here when p4p is so readily available and so relatively inexpensive. Why would somebody do that? Why would someone take that kind of risk?

Why would somebody be that ignorant and that stupid?

It's completely beyond my level of comprehension, and I guess that is a very good thing!

I was wondering that myself. It could have been incidental - it seems a strange way to grope someone.

What a waste of time to open this...

pay first, then grope.

it is unclear, I would say a bit of overreaction and unfounded criticism - who would even want to grope her - she's hardly a model is she

Definitely wouldn't grope her.

I wouldn't grope her either.

i do not know of any man who would have groped her groin as she passed by. The vdo makes me think he was grabbing or reaching for her bag, not her privates.

Wow, first time we're on the same page 👍

What a silly joke of a waste of bandwidth. No indication that the guy groped her, though looking at this frame by frame it looks more like his hand got hung up by the plastic bag.

I remember years ago a Thai lady claimed that she was graped. When queeried she was asked don't you mean raped? No she replied, there was a bunch of them.

Please refer to the comments of Don Snorio.

From that angle it looks like he's grabbing the bag.

God knows why.

Where I come from (typical western country) 99% of the citizens would also be outraged.

says the newbe rookie

If this is true the foreigner is a moron. No respect for others.I have grope a lady on BTS but that happened after we agreed doing that. She asked me to do it.Of course not a stranger but a mistress who is a really kinky lady.

It was wery exiting and we ended up at her apartment in Bangkok.

It appeared quite blatant, a grabbing movement. Shameful behaviour.

I recall living in Saudi, if one boarded a flight after a local woman, it was advised to wait for hre to get onto the aircraft, If she stumbled back and you caught her it could well be misinterpreted. Best to let them hit the ground!!!

Didn't look like an intentional grope/grab, looks like his hand got caught by the bag.

Seems like it was a total fluke if he did touch her.
