Nope. Not saying a word about that. Finally, I can stop rubbing it in that globally responsible Canadian Boomers are essentially running an international charity by moving abroad, reducing resource strain, while still paying Canadian taxes all so a Serbian refugee and his bride can afford to live in a first world country. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Now to topic. While I was basking in the sun in Thailand, my digestive system was apparently on extended leave. I'm talking a solid A+ experience once or maybe twice a month if the stars aligned perfectly. I lived a life of constant disappointment. But now? Now I'm back in Canada, and I'm here to tell you.... my stools are wonderful. A solid, high quality dump every single day. I don't know what kind of poison they put in food over there, but being back feels fantastic. Brb You might want to look for an online group that shares your interest in discussing Canada. Most here have little to no interest in Canada.

Immigrants is just a fill word but it really just means Indians.

But I'm sure the immigrants like you, are happy to be there. The open door immigration policy that the Justin Trudeau's Liberals enacted and promoted was bitterly opposed by many Canadians, largely because the population 'ballooned' (by Canadian standards) from 38 million to 42 million in a few years - converging at a time when there was a housing crunch and family doctors were not being replaced when they retired. Hundreds of thousands of Canadians still do not have a GP under the country's universal health care system. However, what was rarely mentioned about the real reason to aggresively increase Canada's population via immigration was the lowering birth rate in Canada - some 40% below 'replacement' level according to research published in the controverssial video documentary 'Birthgap". (it's controversial largely among feminists because it suggests women need to have kids in their mid 20s to early 30s or risk childlessness for the rest of their lives - driving down national populations over the coming years. But it also points at young men who aren't willing to commit to marriage and families until later in life, when their female partners may struggle to reproduce). However, the video is much more than a trope targeting young women who want a higher education and a career while still young. It's a complicated but grim picture. Video is a bit too long and full of repeated graphics. But an eyeopener.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Canada is a wonderful country and I love the idea that I can return anytime I want, but I don't need a job and the healthcare is great, especially if you live in or near fairly large population centres. The healthcare in Thailand is also great especially for getting things done that are not life threatening,no waiting lists and lots of times I would pay more for parking at a hospital in Canada than the hospital charges here .And then there is the climate .

I've always found work when wanting, banks always gave me CC, if wanting, and healthcare excellent everywhere I lived. Never used or needed an agent for anything. Just have to plan your life & choose wisely, as with all things. With that, choosing wisely, it's not what they put in the food in Thailand, it's the Thai food you chose to put in yourself. I have none of the digestive issues you experienced. Live with your choices. It's 40 where I live

I always wondered if he by chance ended up retiring to Cambodia.
