Cebu Pacific intercepted three individuals at Caticlan Airport for allegedly using fraudulent credit cards to book flights and illicitly reselling travel funds on social media. The individuals had traveled from Davao to Boracay and were set to return when they were detained by authorities for questioning. Cebu Pacific is now working with the Philippine National Police, and investigations are ongoing.

This incident highlights ongoing challenges with unauthorized ticket sales, prompting Cebu Pacific to remind travelers to use authorized channels. The airline warns that booking through unofficial platforms can lead to issues like invalid bookings, unexpected fees, or travel disruptions. To prevent such complications, Cebu Pacific advises booking through their official website, mobile app, or accredited partners.

The airline emphasizes that only their official channels and affiliated agencies are authorized to handle authentic transactions. This warning is crucial as unauthorized sales can severely impact passengers' travel experiences. With increased vigilance and cooperation with local authorities, Cebu Pacific aims to safeguard its customers and maintain transaction integrity.

Going forward, improvements in security measures and public awareness are expected to deter fraudulent activities and enhance travel safety. The airline is committed to ensuring a smoother experience for its passengers by keeping them informed and prioritizing their safety, reported PhilStar.
