There was an article circulating online a few years ago by an Australian journalist, I believe. She mentioned in her article that Bin Laden's mother was Kosher and lived in Israel. it reminds of the lies spread by Rumsfeld all over the media about the dozens of caves with high tech satellites  in the mountains of Afghanistan.  He was showing some drawings of those high tech caves and you could see in Rumsfeld's face how he was controlling himself not to laugh as he was reading his script, probably straight from Tel A Viv.

I have always believed that mixing strong religious cultures is unwise. That said, not all Muslims are radical Islamists, just as not all Christians are conservative fundamentalists included of course Catholics and Judaism as well.
