Two Killed in Israel After Car-Ramming and Stabbing Attack

Two people lost their lives in Israel during a suspected terror attack involving both ramming and stabbing. The assault started in Beit Shean, resulting in the death of a 68-year-old man and the injury of a 16-year-old boy when a vehicle collided with them. After driving to Ein Harod, the attacker stabbed an 18-year-old woman before a civilian in Afula shot and wounded him.

The suspect hailed from Qabatiya in the northern occupied West Bank, said Israel's Defence Minister. The video of an Israeli reservist ramming a Palestinian with a quad bike, which resulted in the soldier's dismissal, preceded this attack. Israel's Defence Forces (IDF) plan to conduct operations in response, with orders to act "forcefully and immediately”.

Authorities revealed the 37-year-old suspect had entered Israeli territory a few days earlier and used a work vehicle for the attacks. Kan News reported he was working illegally in Israel. This incident follows a growing trend of violence, with increasing assaults by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Following the violence, the international community has been keeping a close watch. The UN noted a significant rise in attacks, linked to tensions flaring since the Hamas attacks on Israel starting 7 October 2023. The violence claimed over 1,200 lives and resulted in numerous abductions into Gaza, threatening regional stability.

As the IDF prepares its operations, the situation remains tense. The escalation of violence poses ongoing challenges amid calls for restraint from various quarters. As the events unfold, the focus remains on maintaining order and preventing further loss of life, reported the BBC.

Key Takeaways

  • A ramming and stabbing attack in Israel resulted in two deaths and two injuries.
  • The suspect from Qabatiya, West Bank, was shot and wounded by a civilian.
  • IDF plans operations in response to the attack in Qabatiya.

The  story as presented is biased and misleading, in large part because it  relies on a biased BBC report. and leaves out relevant information.  The undisputed facts are;

- The attacker was a resident of the Palestinian Authority territory, aka West Bank.

- The attacker had illegally entered Israel 4 days prior to the attack.

- The locations of the attack are not in any disputed areas and have nothing to do with any land claims. They were in uncontested Israeli territory.

- The attacker targeted an elderly man and then intentionally ran him down, killing him.

- The attacker then fled to the Ein Harod district, where he repeatedly stabbed an 18 year old Israeli girl multiple times in the back. She was a resident of the Ein Harod collective farm. The farm was founded in 1921, and was notable for its historic  peaceful relations with local arabs, and  its leading green initiatives. It is what is called a  Green operation. It has also been the site of multiple meetings/seminars to foster and to promote peaceful relations.

The BBC report and this article makes reference to an unrelated event of an IDF reservist  driving a quad vehicle that sidebrushed a man who was  later described as an arab praying by the side of the road. The man was not killed, nor injured. The IDF  reservist was  immediately terminated as a reservist, and faces charges for his actions. The event occurred one day prior to the. killing spree in Northern Israel.

The BBC story has attempted a dishonest suggestion of linkage of events. It is dishonest because the arab attacker illegally entered Israel days before the quad vehicle incident. Nor can the incident involving the quad vehicle, where no one was harmed, be offered as a justification for stabbing a young female in the back, or running down an elderly man, which is what the BBC article has tried to do.  And even if the attacker was upset, why attack two people who were hardly a threat of doing harm to Palestinian arabs.

The BBC has once again demonstrated its systemic bias.

2 Israeli killed is big news and it's an act of terrorism.

Over 400 killed in Gaza since ceasefire and the killers are called IDF.

Why not say these killers are terrorists?

The Israeli military said it shot dead a Palestinian “suspected of hurling a block” at soldiers on Saturday during an operation in the occupied West Bank town of Qabatiya.

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/12/21/middleeast/israeli-soldiers-west-bank-teen-killed-latam-intl

Israel forces or terrorists?

The Palestinian news service Wafa reported on Friday that Israeli forces opened fire on Uday al-Maqadma while he was sitting near the entrance of a school in Gaza. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and died of his injuries at the hospital.

Why murder two harmless people to protest your PA land  issue? And why target a girl from a community with a history of building peaceful relations with Arabs?

Your embrace of terrorism says it all.

One really can not separate Palestinian terrorism against Israeli from Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.

The event as described was unrelated to the murder of two people in Israel.  No one was injured with the quad.

You do however demonstrate why the BBC included the reference. Instead of considering the murder of two people, you focus on a non event.

As you have stated in respect to Algeria , it's time for the Palestinian Arabs to move on, to get over it.

Your justification for the murder of two non combatant Israelis suggests an inherent hatred for any Israeli. Not my fight, nor my  country. However, it does impress upon me why the Israelis should  not pay any attention to people like you.

Another attempt to gloss over the murder of two non combatants. This was not about Israeli views. You know nothing about the two deceased How does  murdering a young girl from a collective farm that supported peaceful relations with Arabs support your. position?

You started by attacking the messenger, the BBC, not the message.

As an Israeli citizen, you are obviously the biased one here. Yes, I know only 50% of Israelis want to remove all Palestinians but....

There's a difference between explanation and justification.

Unfortunately they're paying too much attention to people like you.

Your attempt to sidetrack and distract from the diabolical murder by the arab terrorist is typical.

The video that is shown has been speeded up such that events are distorted.  It's like a keystone cops scene. The man is not injured. The other available  version shows that the road was being blocked. Multiple vehicles were stopping and blocking traffic flow. The ATV driver performed an improper barricade  rush. It happens. Not right, but people get frustrated with protestors blocking roads. No one was injured.Even a hospital examination confirmed that there was no injury.

Deal with the m urder of the two innocent Israelis. if you want to champion a guy participating in a road blockage start a new thread.

Have you no moral compass, let alone integrity - justifying an illegal settler trying to kill a Muslim?

You really are showing what you're made of.

You support illegal as l settlement in the West Bank.

Do you support  this woman?
