China Offers 20M Yuan to Aid Thailand, Cambodia Post-Conflict

China has extended an offer of 20 million yuan to aid both Thailand and Cambodia in repairing war damage during a current ceasefire. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul mentioned that Thailand's acceptance of the offer will be considered after Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow’s review upon his return. The ceasefire, which began recently, has led to a calm situation along the Thai-Cambodian border, ending on December 30 at noon.

Police in Pattaya have arrested a Chinese national following a late-night knife attack on pub security guards on Pattaya South Road, leaving three people injured, one of them seriously. The incident caused panic among tourists and revellers, who fled the area as the suspect carried out the attack.

Border Hospitals Reopen Slowly Amid Ceasefire

Hospitals in border regions of Thailand began reopening on Monday as a ceasefire between Thai and Cambodian forces entered its second day. Kantharalak Hospital in Si Sa Ket returned to full operation, while Kap Choeng and Phanomdongrak hospitals in Surin partially resumed services. The Ministry of Public Health stated that emergency and outpatient care would be prioritized as the situation stabilizes.
