I hadn't considered those that don't use much electricity. It probably would make sense in your situation if it was easy to set up. You would make ~40 baht a day from exporting which isn't bad I guess but hardly worth going through the hoops and extra expenses IMO.

I have contacts in town that would probably make the it easier to get approved but I can't get the numbers to make any financial sense. If I remember correctly PEA pays 2 baht per kWh and there is a daily limit. I can't find my spreadsheet where I had this info :(

We installed last year

400k including
16kw Deye Hybrid inverter
16kwh Deye battery
22 panels 705w each

All fitted to our car port
50m of Cable included for installation to house
TOU meter was changed from digital meter last month i think we paid around 1800 baht
Not had a bill yet to see the savings

We use around 67 units a day from solar/battery and 23 units imported from the grid
Pool pump going 8-10 hours a day and 5 ac's on most of the day down to 2 after around 6pm

Usually get a bill for around 3000 baht
(4200 around songkran time) and only maximum 1600 from last Nov-Feb

Saving around 9000 baht a month from solar at the moment so well worth the investment
Not registered as not interested in selling for 2 baht a unit and too much hassle from what i can see of it
Not got a EV yet but keep looking at them but then i would need a larger system so might just get a Ford Raptor and use the electric savings to fill it up 555

Nice! wow- you use a ton of electricity. 400k is good price for a professional installation of that size. I know many that paid more for less.

You would get a laugh looking at my system which is about 1/2 the size of yours and cost 150k all in. It is ugly but i I hide it behind a sliding door. It has not had any down time in two years but I do like the pics of your setup and others here on this forum.

The price you paid per kw is not much more than what I paid and you have a much better looking setup.

No point it looking pretty and is useless .

We have six of us in 4 different rooms and my wife wanted 3 labradors and her <deleted>zu in the house so i found a somchai in incredibly quick timing to knock up a outside dog house with another ac in so they get ac from 8am to 4.30 for free

Problem is they rarely move,

We used to have them running around barking at anything that moves .

Might as well have got a few hamsters to guard the house now.
