British Suspects Remanded Over Pattaya Safe Robbery

Featured Replies

Three British nationals have been taken to Pattaya Provincial Court for their first remand hearing on 2 March, after being charged over a 2 million baht safe robbery. All three suspects denied the allegations and gave inconsistent statements during questioning. One claimed he was mentally unstable and insisted the group were “not gangsters ”.

The case stems from a robbery on 26 February at a house in a Chokchai village 9 in Nong Prue, Chonburi. Masked offenders reportedly broke in and stole more than 2 million baht in cash inside a safe. Police later confirmed that four British men had been arrested in connection with the crime.

On 2 March 2026, investigators from Nong Prue Police Station escorted three suspects from custody to Pattaya Provincial Court for their first remand. They are named as Mr Palmer Jermaine, 20, arrested at Padang Besar Immigration checkpoint in Sadao district, Songkhla; Mr Christopher Eranse, 38, arrested at Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok and Tyhull Michael Campbell Jr, 32, arrested at a hotel in Prakhon Chai district, Buriram.

All three have been charged with jointly committing robbery. Police said that during questioning on 1 March 2026 the suspects denied the charges and provided statements that were not useful to the case. One suspect reportedly displayed erratic behaviour and claimed to be mentally unwell.

Investigators say they remain confident in the evidence gathered, including material seized from an apartment in the Jomtien area, allegedly used to divide the stolen money, as well as information relating to the escape route. Forensic officers from Chonburi’s Police Forensic Science Division 2 have collected DNA samples from the three suspects to compare with evidence found at the scene.

Matichon reported that reporters observed the suspects being transported to court. They appeared relaxed, joked with journalists by asking “How are you?”, and reiterated that they were not mafia, at one point requesting cigarettes before departing. A fourth British man, remains in police custody for further questioning to determine his involvement. Authorities said further legal proceedings will follow in accordance with Thai law.

I'm guessing that nobody has told him that if the box that says provided useful information isn't ticked the judge will hand out double the sentence that he would've done had that box been ticked?

They drove 9 miles away to divvy up the spoils. God are some ppl dumb.

Good job to the Police. It's getting way harder nowdays to get away with that kind of thing.

Especially if you're 6 foot 8 and blacker than the ace of spades. These clowns are laughing because they think they're still in the UK. Judge Somchai doesn't care if your father didn't buy you a pony when you were 5 or that your juvenile record is sealed.

Police Find Smashed Safe After 2m Pattaya Raid

Police have recovered a smashed safe believed to have contained more than 2,000,000 baht following a violent robbery at a housing estate in Pattaya. The safe was found discarded in a field after suspects allegedly broke it open and divided the cash. Officers are continuing efforts to arrest one remaining suspect.

At 10.00 on 3 March 2026, Chon Buri provincial investigation police, working with Tourist Police, Immigration Police and investigators from Nong Prue Police Station, searched an area in Nong Pla Lai, Bang Lamung. The search followed a confession from a suspect who admitted the group had discarded the safe along their escape route after breaking it open and sharing the money.

The safe was located in a large field close to a road. Police believe the site was chosen because it allowed the suspects to park and flee without attracting attention. Officers searched for more than 15 minutes before finding a medium-sized grey safe with its door forced open and damage consistent with being struck by a hammer.

The safe has been secured as key evidence and will undergo further forensic examination. Police previously arrested three suspects: Mr Jermaine, Mr Eranse and Mr Campbell, all British nationals. An additional suspect, Mr Brandon Tyler Garrett, is subject to an application for a court arrest warrant as officers gather further evidence and intensify efforts to locate him.

A source stated that the group had carefully planned the robbery, choosing to act at night, wearing black clothing to conceal themselves and using secondary routes to escape. However, investigators were able to track them using CCTV footage and witness evidence.

Police confirmed that the investigation is progressing and expressed confidence that the remaining suspect will be apprehended soon. Officers are also expanding enquiries to determine whether others were involved in the operation.

What else are you going to do when you are young with no job trying to live in Thailand and support a ganja habit. They were just trying to be entrepreneurial.

Were they tipped off about the safe and its contents? Seems more than a lucky coincidence.

How did they get caught ?? Could it be that they had a disptute among the gang when it came to dividing up the spoils one of them was short changed so dobbed them in hoping to get a better sentence in court.

There's an old saying . Loose lips sink ships.
