Today I booked and paid for a return flight BKK-LHR leaving in June, on Booking.com who accepted the booking and payment. I have just been advised the booking has been cancelled and money returned . . . . . . .

Went to the EVA site and after inputting the dates, could go no further, "Access Denied" !

Any idea what's going on Guys ?

My guess is the site is overloaded with Etihad, Emirates and Qatar passengers desperate to get back to Europe. Stymied for now - will keep trying lol. Comments welcome !

Just yesterday I booked a flight with EVA in early September from Vienna to Bangkok. I did it directly on the EVA website, with no problems at all, and the price was about the same as last year’s flight for the same route and time. So maybe you were unlucky or I was very lucky, you just have to keep trying.

My son is coming, from Australia, to see me in June and then flying to Manchester.

He had just told me he is going with Golf Air via Bahrain. This is on 18th June late afternoon the equivalent of 272 GBP.or around 12000thb

Yeah, Gulf Air is really cheap right now, in fact most of the ME airlines are cheaper than they were before the “ war “ with Etihad being the next cheapest then Qatar then Emirates.

I had return flights BKK - MAN with Qatar for May, after the war started they cancelled my flights and reimbursed me in full ( 34k baht ). 2 weeks later I booked the exact same flights with them ( 28k ) , leaving next week.

Could have gone cheaper but as Qatar reimbursed me in full within a few days thought I would give them my business again.
