A different tribute

Barack Obama

@BarackObama

Bob Mueller was one of the finest directors in the history of the FBI, transforming the bureau after 9/11 and saving countless lives. But it was his relentless commitment to the rule of law and his unwavering belief in our bedrock values that made him one of the most respected public servants of our time. Michelle and I send our condolences to Bob’s family, and everyone who knew and admired him.

And another heartfelt one;

Laura and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Robert Mueller. Bob dedicated his life to public service. As a Marine in Vietnam, he proved he was ready for tough assignments. He earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart before returning home to pursue law. In 2001, only one week into the job as the 6th Director of the F.B.I., Bob transitioned the agency mission to protecting the homeland after September 11. He led it effectively, helping prevent another terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Laura and I send our heartfelt sympathy to his wife of nearly 60 years, Ann, and the Mueller family.

Somewhat exposes the hypocritic attitudes expressed following Kirk's murder.

The sleazeball president never fails to be predictably atrocious. Not only the worst president, Among the worst people -- period.

You know I think that there is at least one other individual whose name features in that post to whom this epitath could be applied.

There are men and women in the armed forces right now going into harm's way ostensibly on behalf of the US. They will see Trump's Tweet and see how Trump commented on the passing of a man who spent the majority of his life serving the nation, including in combat. They all also know not a single Trump has ever served.

There are still some senior agents in the FBI who served under Mueller. They know the level of integrity Mueller embodied. They see the little clown who now runs the bureau and spends his time using taxpayer property to go visit his girlfriend, and who hasn't an ounce of integrity.

There are Secret Service agents whose job might ask them to take one for that vile blob who lacks the decency to keep his mouth shut. Who wants to leave your children fatherless for that guy?

Never has the office of the President been more sullied, never has the US been more of an embarrassment.

Would like to get more details on why Trump hates Muller so much.

And the hypocrisy of you folks attacking Trump for starting the war in Iran and simultaneously hailing Muller as a hero for serving in a war.

Yes, Trump didn't serve. But you folks are attacking him for starting a war and Muller is a hero.

Muller just wasn't born in a rich family, that's all.

Per Joseph Welch, 1954, during the McCarthy hearings:

Until this moment, senator, I think I never gauged your cruelty or recklessness . . . . Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?

Not surprising that Obama rears his head here. Every word coming out of his mouth is carefully polished. The perfect orator.

But that doesn't mean he wouldn't slit your throat in a dark alley to advance his own interests.

Again, there must be a reason Trump is attacking Muller.

Personal question; were you in an induced coma 2017 to 2019? Or have memory issues?

Ok, so he lead the Trump-Russia inquiry.

So he was Trump's enemy, so Trump is lashing out.

Not very politically correct to lash out at a dead person, but maybe that's a hypocritical part of society and if we hated someone when they were alive, then we should be allowed to bad mouth them even after death.

The bloke lashing out on Twitter has his finger on the button......

Mueller was appointed to the Inquiry. He was a government servant doing a job he had been asked to do. He didn't volunteer.

Is this what you do at funerals? Stand around bitching about the deceased, moaning that there aren't enough sausage rolls etc at the wake. Or is it everyone knows not to invite you?

It isn't so much that Mueller served in war, it is how he served.

Had you ever served, you would understand how valuable it is to have someone as a colleague whom you know you can count on. By all accounts, Mueller was that type of man.

You and me lives in two different realities, maybe one day you will see the true Trump and hear what he is actually saying, and what he is actually doing.

Cant help you, no arguments will do or help your case, or any other case who see it the same way.

And the good thing about Donald, there is no magic, there is no trick, he says it how it is, and is clear as daylight what his motives is, and it is clear to most of us, that nothing of what he is promising is true. It is not realistic and it is not sustainable except making the rich filthy more rich, and let the middle class and poor pay for it.

And also ruin those rich who do not follow him and bow down to him.

Nobody knows exactly what Trump is doing.

After all, Trump is the one lecturing EU to increase its military to 5% of their GDP. So clearly there must be a legitimate threat.

Because the world is not a completely predictable neat little box.

So maybe the Iran thing is a bit of a "gamble".

But maybe doing nothing is also a "gamble" because your enemies gain ground and try to defeat you.

And the fact Trump was probably willing to go for that 7-10 split, despite his bone spurs, had to have been inspiring.

Along with, who in their right mind, would want to go to war in Vietnam. They had a draft for a reason, nobody wanted to serve in Vietnam.

Trump with draft number of 356 was never going to get drafted. My brother had a low number, and would have been drafted, so he enlisted in the Air Force, and got stationed in the UK. That was the last draft cycle. I would have been in the next years cycle, if it continued.

Air Force or Canada would have been my choice 🙄 3 years later, I enlisted in the Army coffee1

Which onward, was 20+ yrs of being fairly peaceful, so if wanting to be a lifer, that would have been a good time to serve.

"clearly"?

What threat? One that is based on a Trump "hunch"?

We need to teach our fellow NATO members how to overspend, run massive cost overruns, and waste money on weapons whose value would be better in wars long since ended.

In a nutshell, we need to teach NATO how to spend $100,000 on a toilet when a $100 toilet would serve its purpose just as well.

Some good news today.

One (finally) down , still many to go.
