I've noticed that almost without fail, the stolen watch is always a Rolex. Never a cheaper brand like casio, fossel etc.

Agree. Never bring a girl back to your hotel - go to a short time room. Leave your valuables in your own room. Agree about hotel room safes, though. Most aren't aware that they can easily be opened by hotel staff. Often the default code is the same on all of them. Never get changed - and can be opened without your code.

I gave up watches once I had a mobile which is also a watch. These Rolex, Bolex watches enthusiasts do buy them so as to impress somebody by saying this watch is R or B. Same as a car where people say, "I drive a lambo", or similar. At the end of the day who gives a sh..t!
