You can live in Pattaya on a budget

Once I buy my condo in Pattaya I can easily survive on 15,000 baht a month

Please tell me why if your older than say pension age 67 , why you can't survive on the ( Australian,) pension income of 45,000 a month about $2000 AUD

I'm talking about owning your condo though whether that be a 21cm room in the flybird or a lavish condo overlooking the beach, yes it maybe harder for those paying rent

I just can't understand men who are 67 or older forced to ho back to the UK or Australia because they can't afford to live on their old age pension , especially if it's 45,000 baht or higher

Granted , I probably won't be eligible for the old age pension in Australia because I haven't touched my superannuation ( retirement funds) but I can still draw out $2000 AUD ( 45k) a month and live on it from my super fund

Unlike the UK, in Australia , if you worked hard all your life and saved you aren't eligible for the old age pension, so retire early they say and spend it before 67yo

But anyway the point I'm making is what the hell is going on when I see YouTube videos of 70yo Australian men crying because they can't live on their old age Australian pension ?

Ok understood the UK pensioners are different , apparently they don't get pension risen if they leave the country but you aussie guys ,if you can live in Australia on 45,000 baht a month you can live in Pattaya surely!!

We need a charity service with volunteer financial counsellors to help these men like we do in the UK and Australia

This could be one of my pet projects when I move there to start a financial counselling volunteer service to help pensioners

What the hell is happening to your money especially if you already own your own condo so there's no rent ?

Do you really need to go to sports bars everyday ?

Who wants to three ladies a day ? I would say you got a big problem being above 50 and still think you are 19. I would say you got serious issues

  • Now I am not a recipient of an Australian Pension, nor am I a resident of Pattaya. However I would suggest to this annoying prying impertinent fellow that he minds his own business, and goes away! It

Yes because there's not much else to do.

Unless you take up golf or are introverted and like reading books at home.

So people blow a sh*t ton of money in bars. Probably more than on food and rent.

Happy hour 9 am to 11 pm.

Are you not eligible for the old-age pension in Australia until you turn 67? That's a wait. Are you only receiving interest from the superannuation?

You can draw your super out at 60 if you leave your job , otherwise you can draw out at 65 whilst still working

The employer must pay 12% of your wages into your superfund everypay day ,you can't touch it till 60 and resigned from your job

My super has gone down actually because of Trump affecting my share price in flight centre

Why on Earth would anyone live in Pattaya for 15k a month

Yes me and my wife can live on very little on hour farm, especially now we also got solar power, but in a city as single?

Who wants to punish himself that bad?

I know retired guys taking 2-3 ladies a day. But most of them 2-3 a week. Who can do that on such a miserable amount? Who wants to survive in Pattaya, thats very depressing. People with no money in pattaya end up miserable and depressed.

People with no friends and poor social skills end up miserable and depressed. No money just makes it worse.

You think renting 2 to 3 women weekly makes you happy? I can imagine that you might feel like a kid in a sweet shop at first, but that's not a fulfilling lifestyle.

Volunteers still need a work permit and are not allowed to do a job which Thias can do.

Now come on, give those Financial Councelling Somchais a chance. 555

Typicaly, I spend it but would need to undertake an in-depth statistical analysis to confirm.

You wont qualify for a long term visa on 45k a month without depositing the lump sum required in tbe bank. You may be able to live on that amount if the condo doesnt hit you with any maintenace expenses.

Hes very happy yes. Some guys have huge sex drives. Its not for everyone. Hes been doing it 7 years now and doesnt stop. 2-3 a day and the most was 15. I know 2 guys like this. But what I was saying, is lots of guys having fun, and being on less than 150k a month if you want extra fun is difficult.

As you stated, it's not for everyone. My idea of fun might be to be with people who like me, rather than people I need to pay to pretend to like me. That's why for some, when the money runs low, the fun stops.

When you are with people who like you, it continues. Money not being the engine.

There is no reason that you can't live on that much as well as to even save some of that money.

He talks about some sort of voluntary employment so will require a work permit... Retirement visa not applicable.

Just re-read the numerous threads you've started before asking the exact same question.

The guys who end up going back with no money are quite likely the "rent don't buy" people, rents will go up over time. As for how much you need, if you own your place, the biggest cost is women, whether that's a GF, wife or ST and LT etc, that will decline after X years, money probably gets diverted from that to healthcare. Golf can cost 30k a month, bin that. I know guys who are happy with their life and spend less than 40k easily, cook at home

I don't need women or any sexual relationship at all

I don't like it and I don't want people sharing the same bed as me

I prefer to be alone

Crikey, nothing better than waking up to a beautiful young, sexy Thai chick beside you.

Give it a go mate, you'll like it.

At times, after waking up, my girlfriend often grabs my hand and places it on her little pink taco

My Thai Friendly budget is 30 k a month and most of the time I exceed that.

Why would you buy a condo in a place you dislike so much, as evidenced by your many previous posts. Will you have enough money for your bi-weekly doctor shopping outings?

Well strange you say that...I went to see a doctor today in Australia for a blood test & prostate check

He was a newish young indian guy who seemed a bit nervous doing my prostate check.
