Breaking the Silence has some great resources, video and books in English. Their report, "State of the Occupation" illumines what's really happening from the viewpoint of ex-soldiers.

I work primarily with Mesarvot, conscientious objectors who refuse the IDF and serve prison terms. Their website in only in Hebrew but +972 has an archive of their work.

It takes more courage to think for yourself than blindly follow what your govt tells you is right.

The war was against Hamas. Instead, Israel warred on the people of Gaza. (I'm carefully avoiding all those knee-jerk words here.

How many wars has Israel visited on Lebanon? Some were retaliation, some were pre-emptive.

Why pre-emptive. Because of fear for what might happen.

Israel's enemy is Hezbollah. Nobody deserves to have their homes and schools and hospitals destroyed, whether Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon or Iran.

Maybe the citizens of those countries are as brainwashed as Israelis.

The two-state solution, the bi-national solution, are good places to start. But the current Israeli govt is not open to discussion, into building a future. They prefer to kill, thinking killing will eliminate the problem.

We know how that is working out. Try something else.

Would you blame a tiny country of 8 millions people, with many enemies and haters galore, from wanting to protect itself? and if israel have nukes, good for them, right now dosn't seems to deter the Iranians and their proxies from trying to obliterate Israel.

Precisely. Nukes are not the deterrent they once may have been. I don't see Iran being any more eager to nuke Israel that Israel to nuke Iran.
