Winners and losers of the Iran war

Featured Replies

ISIS and Al Qaida are winners. Soon Iranian regime will be a winner as well 😂🤣. Bin Ladin, Saddam, gaddafi and … all were winners. Seems soon NATO will go dawn then it will be the time to say hello to UK, France and Germany, those picked the wrong side for their investors benefits.

Mankind is the looser.

Toddlers on places where they shouldnt be.

I know, replace them and you have other stupid toddlers.

Every time again, hitlers (fi) rise, man forms groups and then there will be fights.

It is what we are and we are with too much on this planet.

Up even more in California I gather. At 85, living in Thailand, a Brit, and retired from the oil business for 25 years, I'm afraid I am not well informed regarding pump prices in the USA these days. The only answer I can get is 'concerns about supply disruption'. The fact is gas station owners everywhere are quick to jump onto any excuse to up their prices/ profits.

What you claim as fact is fallacy. Gas stations owners don't dictate the price of gas. It's the numpties that panic buy and hoard that dictate oil prices at the first signs of disruption. Even this time around when there was a healthy glut of oil with tankers chock-full of the stuff hanging on their anchors as there was no capacity to refine and store the byproducts onshore.

It works in different ways in different countries worldwide. Hoarding crude or oil products in large quantities requires voluminous, specialized storage.

Where is all this voluminous, specialized storage?

The interim Thai cabinet announced at 10 PM that the fuel price at the pump would increase by 6 baht at 5 AM the following morning. Too dim to realize that in the ultra-connected, instant-on world of today, their late evening announcement would not simply 'surprise' the consumer in the morning. In reality, the lines started before midnight. Repeat that panic buying and hoarding by consumers in countries worldwide and there's your "voluminous, specialized storage" right there, on the gas station forecourts.

I agree entirely- Trump has ruined the reputation of the USA and made the Chinese President look like a statesman.

As fir the language he uses in his social media - it is the language not of diplomacy but of the gutter- which is where he belongs

Trump is absolute Trailer Park Trash. The man does not have one nanogram of class, dignity or grace in his entire, diseased, and wretched being.

He is very similar to an ancient reptilian creature from a very scary horror movie.

I was a Trump supporter and voted for him, but this is just over the top. There is no deal as I see it. Iran is the clear winner and Trumps ego will cause a world wide recession if oil spike above 150/barrell. It is wiping out savings in massive waves. Yesterday was a market rally. Today reality has set in and a sell off it inevitabal. He has clearly underestimated and overplayed the "I am the greatest" card. Quite frankly I am embarrassed to the Nth degree. He is nuttier than my aunts fruitcake. Hopefully things will settle down. But, I am not optimistic.

Oil is below $100 and I've made money from it. There is no recession but Iran is almost collapsing. A few more weeks of bombs will teach them. I actually think Trump is too soft on them.

Is oil included in the Monopoly board game Community chest?

If not how did you get out of your basement to buy any?

That is bs. They charge top dollar for old stock.

The Main losers are the Irani people who did not deserve any of this.

Add to winners Trump and his cronies and the american arms industry who have filled their pockets

Just looking at news about an hour old, it seems that Iran has/is going to, close the strait of Hormuz because Irael carried out a bombing raid in Lebanon. And I have just seen that the 10 point plan from Iran has been dumped by the White House as being unworkable. WH negotiators say that the 15 point plan they have put on the table is the only plan. The next day or so will probably if Iran will comply but as I said earlier, the conflict is more likely to continue. Sad, but I think true.

Iran has apparently stated that attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon must stop; the strait of Hormuz will remain closed;Uranium enrichment will continue. I cannot see any talks even starting if that is what they are going to put on the table on Saturday.

I wish everyone here 'goodnight' with hopes that tomorrow will bring better news

I guess you think that the gas you bought last week, sitting unburned in your gas tank today, still has the same monetary value as it had when you bought it? If someone wanted to buy your unused gas from you, would you charge them the "old stock" price or the current one?

Threatening to obliterate them, women and children. Total analyzation. Is just a tad beyond my comfort zone. I am way up also, but this is not acceptable.

Winners ...

... big oil

... defense contractors

... Iran

... Israel

... Dems

Loser ...

... DJT

... Reps

U.S. government is spending $88 billion a month in interest on national debt—equal to spending on defense and education combined. One cannot ignore that. Win the war, lose the country.

Trump doesn’t get Brownie Points if he manages to end the illegal Israeli/US war of aggression he co-started.

A mute point anyway as he’s shown no signs of being able to end this illegal Israeli/US war of aggression.

Including both of Trump's sons who are being used to funnel billions of dollars in corrupt money to the family. They have invested a fortune in a drone company that is guaranteed to get Pentagon contracts. If that's not corruption I'm not sure what is. Trump is unquestionably the most corrupt president in American history, and that's likely the case by a hundredfold.

Wow. Talk about sending in the B team for the important negotiations. Kushner is a major lightweight, Witkoff is an ignorant fool, and Vance. What can one say about JD? Hope these nitwits can somehow makes progress.

Mr. Vance was joined in Islamabad by President Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner. The Iranian delegation, which includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Mr. Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s Parliament, arrived earlier in the Pakistani capital.
