I point out what he's done right, as some people have Trump itis and only see what politicians do wrong, and dismiss the rest. Yes, I dislike him, as he's a weirdo, but he, like most all other politicians, have done some good, along with the bad.

Replace 'Trump' with 'Hitler' and you see why your sentence would only make sense if you do not go beyond the surface.

Counting all his actions together, Trump is a really evil person, having brought death and poverty to millions around the world. He should sit in jail, at best.

Just because he might have helped an old lady over the street once while he was a kid does not negate the overall depravity of him.

Comparing Trump to Hitler isn't going to work. Narcissists are all world leaders, but some are evil, some are dependent on others, some make stupid mistakes which others follow, and some kill because they are prejudiced against others, which is what Hitler was. Only dictators get away with that these days, and Americans aren't going to follow one who practices genocide, which some actually have referred to Trump actions in this war as, even seeing it's military targets and not civilians besides the school accident from bad intel. .

Rather than lowering inflation as promised and bringing prices down, Trump between his ridiculous tariffs, and now his unnecessary war of choice, combined with his declaration of desire to block the Strait of Hormuz appears to be engaged in complete and utter worldwide economic destruction.

Don't be surprised if this ignorant and moronic behavior results in a worldwide depression. Don't be surprised if you're investment accounts drop by 80%.

The Strait of Hormuz is not used just for oil and gas it's used for countless other commodities, and Trump is essentially attacking every economy of every nation in the world with his recklessness. This is normal Trumpflation x 20.

The International Energy Agency does not use superlatives lightly. So when its executive director described the Strait of Hormuz closure as the "greatest global energy security challenge in history," traders paid attention. The IEA's formal assessment goes further: this is the "largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market."

That is not hyperbole. The numbers back it up.

Gulf oil producers have shut in roughly 9.1 million barrels per day in April, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain cannot export through their primary route. Add in the collateral damage, including 600,000 bpd of Saudi production knocked offline by Iranian strikes and a 17% reduction in Qatar's LNG capacity after the Ras Laffan attack on March 18, and the total disruption reaches well beyond crude oil alone.

The current disruption removes roughly twice the barrels that the 1973 Arab embargo did. And the 1973 figure, 4.5 million bpd, was enough to trigger a global recession, fuel rationing in the United States, and a permanent restructuring of Western energy policy.

The 2026 crisis is structurally worse in another way. In 1973, OPEC had spare capacity and eventually turned the taps back on. Today, there is almost no spare capacity left. Saudi Arabia, the traditional swing producer, has lost production to strikes and cannot fully utilize its expanded Petroline due to pumping station damage. The usual safety valve does not exist.

I think, to the rest of the world it is obvious, that Americans are even more stupid than they think of as themselves.

You have to remember most Americans disagree with what he is, along with some he does, and without living there, it's impossible to understand what being an American is like, just as I would never assume what it's like to live under England's politics, even if I've heard how bad some things are there.

Trump isn't all Americans, although some voted for him because they believed what he said he would do.

After a person is voted in, they have through history done some stupid things, but it wasn't the voters fault for being hopeful.

He's not going to practice genocide, even if he threatens bombing them back to the stone age. They wouldn't allow that to happen, no matter how much power Trump thinks he has. So far it's hitting military targets and possible nuclear weapon's arsenal sites, which is what war is. Threatening is his way of talking, which most everyone knows is out there, but he's in position until he's not.

It's easy to look up videos of Iranians around the world and what THEY feel about what's going on, as it's mostly their future. the Strait will be opened, prices for oil will come down, and Iran might have a better government, but it all takes time, and believing opinions many make isn't the reality of what's actually happening.

Lets wait and see if the bottler attacks Iran if they attack a ship trying to go through the straits. My guess he will post an abusive message on his truth media channel again.

Marines will land by chopper and cripple the ship like the Iranians do

Well Our PM Starmer has reported that Downing St will not be involved in the blockade of the Hormuz Staits after Trump said the UK will help. Lets see if the big Bluffer act if US Marine's storm a Chinese Tanker preventing it passing through.

Bout time congrats Sir Trump.

As the Reuters article below points out, China purchases about 80-90% of Iran's oil exports.

The first time a US naval vessel tries to stop a Chinese tanker full of millions of dollars-worth of oil bought and paid for by China, things could start to get interesting.

This Chinese arent stupid enough to try anyhting. Aggresssive, revanchist, racist and authoritarian as they are, they arent idiots.

The Chinese have very little means to project power outside their own neck of the woods. Thats why they steal.

How have you got the Brass Neck to come on here and accuse anyone of Stealing ?? your CIC stole his way into the Whitehouse.

Just how are the Yanks going to Blocade shipping in the Straits ? if they patrol with Choppers they will be picked up on Iranian Radar way before they get to the Patrol area and will likely be shot down. If they Sail frigates close enough to Iran they will be fired on. So come on Yagoda how are they going to win this one ???.

Are you contending that China does not steal from the West and the Third world?

What radar? Our boys have already sailed in the strait and nothing happened other than the usual bluster and the baying of the slavering Iranian sycophants on the net.

BTW, Didnt you predict the Iranians would get our carriers with missles.?

Stop flip flopping tell us how your going to stop ships passing through the Straits ?? and where did you get the " I predicted iran would sink your carriers with missiles " As for the China rubbish did the Chinese PM steal his election result.

The announcement of a blockade will stop ships.

Supposedly only ships entering or leaving Iranian ports are to be stopped. The blockade also applies to any ship that has paid an Iranian toll for safe passage. It remains to be seen the how the U.S. Navy determines what is what. No doubt mistakes will be made adding to an already volatile situation.

2 ships turned around, after the announcement. Both did not leave from an Iranian port.

I read the Chinese navy has sent 2 ships, i presume to safeguard their oil.

Yes, I saw that. Interesting development. I assume it was was just a warmup for what comes next, like maybe a mass of Chinese vessels to overwhelm the blockade enforcers. Guess we will have to wait and see what comes next.

  • Popular Post

It’s impossible to completely impose a blockage as it will involved a significant naval resources commitment over a long period. It will be targeted and the Chinese vessels will sail right through. Trump will find a message to sell to the people. He will not risk a confrontation with China with a Beijing visit in May. The Indians and Pakistani vessels will also like to be non targeted. This blockage will not be effective. Iran and the Houthis hold all the cards. It’s another Trump’s brain fart.

It will be interesting to hear Trump's rationale for this blockade. Surely the media can't wait to ask him why he has made this decision.

How often does he speak with Putin?

I am sure that Russia and China now are sending messages of love to Iran with exact coordinates of US military men obtained from satellites. So I have no idea how Donald wants to maintain his "blockade".

The Chinese can choke off rare earth supply to the USA any time they want, and there's not a damn thing America can do about it.

The only good thing about this blockade is it will have Americans feeling the same pain of economic recession as everyone else, which should translate into mid-term voting.

Iran's biggest martime trading partner is the UAE, so I suppose the Americans will be intercepting loads of dhows smuggling over 10 year old ex-US market Tacomas etc.

The Gulf Coalition of the Willing has barely lasted 48 hours. Saudi Arabia is calling for an end to the blockade of Iranian shipping.
