Another Fake Assassination Attempt

Bernie Sanders defines socialism—specifically democratic socialism—not as government ownership of the means of production, but as a moral imperative to create an economy that works for all, rather than just the wealthy.

Well Ill quote your cut and paste unattributed comment only to say that Bernies version of "democratic socialism", even with your emphasis added, is no different than the Socialism called "democratic" by any other regime: that is, someone will impose that "moral imperative".

One persons "moral imperative" puts another person in front of a ditch. History proves it. Dont ignore history.

I'd love to see where you got the idea that the whole cabinet was there. You read that on RawStory? You're just mad because Trump is still alive.

I see why people might think this was fake and the fact that the perp wasn't immediately killed is kind of unusual but unless I run into the guy partying on the beach in Pattaya, I'll assume it was real.

Considering how long Bernie has been in office. What has he accomplished?

He became a millionaire. I wonder why he hasnt sold off his assets to pay the rent of poor people.

Isnt it interesting that the Bolsheviks seized Palaces for the benefit of the "people" and then moved in themselves.

Seems you might be right that there is 'no evidence of Trump raping children' as Trump just confirmed that he is 'not a pedophile' and that he has been 'totally exonerated'.

By the way could you point me to where I might find the evidence where he was 'totally exonerated'?

Thank you for your attention on this matter.

It's the lack of evidence that the Biden DOJ was able to come up with after four years with the unredacted files.

My quote was from AI to get the gist. Is it not the philosophy that the Republicans have equally if not more so a moral imperative - look at Bible quotes - or attempts - from Hegseth - the long history of moralising by the right.

Your argument shows you are not understanding his approach. He isn't saying the people are pigs totally controlled by the man needing the destruction of the the system to make everyone equal on a financial or other basis - never has. He is saying make things a bit fairer which would involve him and others staying wealthy but paying more tax to fund his policies. No need for ditches - no one ends up in a ditch - Bolsheviks were a different cup of tea involving totally different circumstances in a different time.

You’ve had 3 assassination attempts on your leader in a single term that’s not a functioning democracy, it's a shooting gallery.I’ve met the MAGA expats out here in SE Asia; it’s finally clear why they left. Who wouldn't trade a 'sick' country for a bit of actual safety? Wake up and smell the cordite it’s coming from your own backyard, not mine and let's not get tsrated on the school shootings or bombings for that matter. Sick , sick , sick.

Prove me wrong !

Got it. Redistribution of wealth. Equity not equality. Who determines fairness by the way.

Does he voluntarily pay more in taxes to make things a "bit fairer"?

His philosophical bottom line is unachievable without murder. History and current events show it.

In the 80s I spent a lot of time there and was best man at a friend's wedding in Tusscon and was a guest at a Jewish wedding in New Joisey and many states hiking and push biking and have been on the ranges both public and unoffcial deep in the desert drinking and firing automatic weapons and shotguns. I had a great time.

Trump has spent his whole life pushing fake news so pardon if we don't question the veracity of his numerous assasiantion attempts. If you lie down with dogs then you are going to get fleas.

Parties differ in their policies and one party may suggest higher taxes and those politicians would be subject to those rules if they become law. Stock standard political stuff. Somehow such a policy can't be voted on in an election but can only be achieved by force and murder. Possibly this assassination attempt in your mind is evidence of this.

That's an odd one. Few gaps to fill in there.

How do higher taxes on the working, productive members of a society under the guise of benefiting the non-productive members of the society grow the economy, lower prices, grow individual wealth and increase the availability of housing?

The left's hero: "Taxing one worker to pay five non-workers loses one vote but gains five."

The right's hero: "So long and the gap is smaller, they'd rather the poor be poorer, so long as the rich were less rich."

Although I don't support these attempted assassinations, their motive is Regime Change, which, of course, the Trump-controlled government has been bragging about doing in Iran.

The way I look at it there's 2 scenario's:

1 Two people - one works hard, studies to better themselves, is motivated, saves money - the other lazy - SOLUTION: lower taxes as possible, less government intervention as possible

2 Two people - one born very wealthy or in some circumstances becomes very wealthy , system works to enable that person to have power over the system, politicians and policy making, workers, etc. Second person no resources but works hard, maybe not as smart or sophisticated or well connected as rich person - SOLUTION: marginally higher taxes to ensure there is things like health care, good roads, etc and some government intervention to ensure no unreasonable power used by wealthy to subvert tax rules, other rules such as environmental rules, and how workers are treated to give workers a dignified and fair life on reasonable wages and conditions

The issue is that they can sometimes work against each other. Could be talking about very limited tax increases and limited government intervention that clearly shouldn't stop the rich getting richer but add a bit of fairness.

By all means you may prefer no 2 but be realistic - the wealth I am talking about is not likely to affect any Asean Now readers. The proposed new laws often are not that impactful - it's best not to think in black and white and bring in misused terms such as socialism etc.

Did you not know we really are not living in Thailand, we are all in a tube somewhere being fed through tubes and listening to different points of view. There is ot President in the U.S., Keir Starmer does ot exist, and the Queen is still alive.

No one here has felt any pain other than the AI induced amout to make us think we are real.

Even GG with his clipboard is not real, he is just someone that we hear about and read in this fantasy-induced life we live.

BTW, none of us has an age.

The talk about hospitals is something that the computers insert again to make us think we really exist.

As to getting a shotgun into a hotel, if in fact we were really existing, it would be simple: you break it down, put it in your luggage, and carry it in.

Also, in the fake world that we live in, the man with the gun came in after the dinner had started, and most people were seated. How do I know this is simple in the FAKE WORLD, THE LAST PERSON IN THE ROOM IS ALWAYS THE vip OR GUEST SPEAKER. IN THIS CASE, IT WAS TRUMP.

Int he fake world that has him as president that is the way it works.

What does a bit of fairness mean?

Most of the billionaires in the US were not born into wealth.

About 90% of millionaires in the US were not born into wealth.

In the 21st century USA, government intervention and regulations do more to promote big-businesses and tamp down small business.

Do you think giving "homeless" people more money, results in fewer homeless people?

It looks like $180 billion in fraud has been uncovered, what is raising taxes going to do to reduce that?

Many of the roads in California that were once the best is the country, are now some of the worst, while we flush money down the toilet on a high-speed rail system that will likely never be finished, and which no one would ride if it were finished. How will higher taxes fix that?

Unlicensed, unregulated, untaxed hot-trucks all over Los Angeles, while a family-owned restaurant goes broke trying keep up with regulations and filings. How will higher taxes fix that?

Top five percent in the country spending on education, bottom 5% of the county in results. Mississippi high school students are testing better than California. How will raising taxes fix that?

It's always more money and higher taxes

In Australia I see my tax go to waste, fraud, etc too - along with the good stuff.

By all means argue for low taxes but let us accept that taxes are needed - we can accept too that there can be effective policies to help some in the community who need it - including the homeless.

My post was a response to earlier posts that can indicate Democrats are evil communists taking away your freedom - due to proposals to increase tax a bit and provide some more services. The point is to have a discussion about how best to achieve that rather than simply say no to any taxation and spending reform and suggest calls for it make you a screeching spewing Bolshevik radical .

I have never said anything that could be taken to "...indicate Democrats are evil communists taking away your freedom - due to proposals to increase tax a bit and provide some more services."

What is the "good stuff" in Australia?

Is the "good stuff" in Australia getting better?

It seems to me, that in California, the "good stuff" is getting worse and or being eliminated, while the bad stuff is getting worse and proliferating. The library in my hometown is only open two days a week. The parks are now fenced, and only open eight hours a day. The public golf course was sold to developers. Weed shops, pawn shops, payday loan, and massage have replaced the tackle shops, boat dealer, independent stores, barber shops, and doctor, lawyer and dental offices. Most everyone in every line has a benefit card. How is raising taxes going to help that?

And how does flooding the state with illegal aliens that are often illiterate in their native language, much less English, that will never assimilate and that will likely be on public assistance and get free medical care for life, benefiting anyone but the rich?

Can't realy get into this thread yet without more facts but how did this shooter get a shotgun into the Hilton Hotel in the first place as he was a guest at the Hotel ? Why was he not stopped before he pulled his shotgun out people must have been milling out and around the venue, he apparently rushed a secret service checkpoint where he was " Apprehended " why was he not took out immediatly carrying a rifle or a shotgun smells fishy.

Yeah and supposedly went through a metal detector prior to entry - a shotgun a pistol and several knives ( i guess they were made of paper) anyway i also heard one report from an official, that he never fired any gun, but all the shots were from the Secret Service folks. Strange for sure! But, rest assured, in the post "shooting" incident interview Trump told the reporter that he was no rapist nor pedo! and she mentioned that she didn't say that the original speaker didn't say Trump was a rapist and Pedo! Funny to see the reporters expression!

... and. There's video of trump talking with an attendant who has 2 pieces of paper (notes) / giving these notes to the president who reads the and doesn't react. Lots of good stuff taxes pay for but huge amounts of waste too sadly.

Libraries are a bit 20th century now. I suppose there's 2 jobs - get taxes right and then spend it efficiently hopefully by sticking to basics. Won't go down the immigration path except to say I do concur the Democrats can sometimes be strangely idealistic on that particular topic.

Yes, it was all staged, no one was scared because they were in on it, and he shooter and his family were all Ultra-MAGAs in deep cover to make him look like a leftist.

This is just another fake, like Butler when Trump was "shot" in the ear. Ask any ENT, they will tell you not possible. Likewise, the other two "assassination" attempts were phony.

Even the gunman that was "killed" attempting get into Mar-A-Lago last week with a gun and fire-bomb. All fakey to deflect from the Epstein files and make the left look violent.

Except that it's a package deal. If I vote for Harris, I know that that comes with open borders, DEI, transing kid, crappy schools, more crime, and men in girls' showers.

I Assuming one does not hate Israel, I cannot imagine one thing that would have improved had Harris won thee election, and everything I mentioned would have gotten worse.
