Pete would have been a better VP choice than Walz. At least he does not look and sound like a buffoon.

Incidentally, in every recent clip of Harris I've seen, she looks hammered.

Pete has a tendency to talk a lot without conveying any meaningful information, which makes him the perfect representative of the Democratic Party.

We have a very different perspective on what's good for the country and world, but I must say you come off as exceptionally unpleasant.

That's incredibly bad news for the Democratic Party if all they can put forth is Harris, who has failed at just about everything she's ever attempted to do accomplish, and is deeply unpopular, deeply

The is all just hot air. The US is doomed. There's not a single candidate--from either side--who is Presidential material. Not one.

The Dems are oatmeal and the Reps put milk in it. Neither side has any amazing ideas.

Canada's third-party system isn't terrific because all things converge into the lowest common denominator but it still gives more motivation to all parties.

Although the Socialist Party was strong through the 1930s, and won adequate seats to keep the others on their toes, there has never been an effective third party since.

Yes, I think the Reps will nominate DJTJ in hopes that name recognition will win. But he'd be a brainless puppet with no sycophancy behind him. The sycophants don't need him the way they need Trump.

There has to be a big policy difference between the candidates. Otherwise, why vote. What remains to be seen is whether the Heritage Foundation will still be running the show.

I'd like to see some radical changes but, honestly, I think Trump finished the US.

Pretty cool. If they flip Texas it's the end of MAGA and the GOP as we know it.thumbsup

Even Fox can't hide what's going on anymore. The numbers are mind blowing.

Yeah, about that.......thumbsup

When you lose your base, there's no coming back. Going from strongly favoured by 34% down to just 18% is devastating.thumbsup

'Trump’s MAGA Base Splits Dramatically, New Poll Shows'

https://newrepublic.com/post/209642/donald-trump-fracture-maga-base-poll

"The number of President Donald Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters is dwindling, according to a recent poll.

Only 18 percent of Americans strongly approve of Trump’s job performance, down from 34 percent at the start of his second term, according to an Economist/YouGov poll published Tuesday.

The polls found that just 37 percent of Americans strongly or somewhat approved of Trump’s job handling, while a whopping 59 percent disapproved, matching Trump’s disapproval rating from the beginning of March, which was his highest ever during his second term."

Remember the man's man Walz? The ruff-n-tuff "hunter" that could not load his shotgun, and showed us how to check the oil in his car? I would vote for Hunter Biden before I would vote for him.

Especially now that he is probably lawyered up for his role in the blatant theft of taxpayer money.

This is probably one of the many reasons his support and popularity is tanking. He is a traitor, and more and more people who didn't wanna believe it (hard to figure after the Jan6 insurrection) are finally coming around to that fact.

He's just finished a 1.5 hours lover's call with the "Jefe", the dictator he respects more than any other person.

Traitor.

The 2nd US ambassador to Ukraine has resigned. Both of them disgusted with the treason.

Trump's got his marching orders, it seems.😆

The Democratic party needs some fresh blood and Harris would be their demise. She is tone deaf, she does not connect with the people, and they desperately need to find an alternative.

Kamala Harris stands as the most qualified candidate ever to run for president in our nation’s history, closely followed by Hillary. It's time to acknowledge that the country must embrace the prospect of a strong woman leading the United States.

This has nothing to do with my willingness to support a woman which I would gladly do. Harris was one of the least qualified candidates ever. She was a dismal failure as district attorney in San Francisco, she was one of the most aggressive and nastiest attorney generals in California's history putting countless thousands of people behind bars for very petty offenses using the third strike law. She was a very mediocre US senator and a rather feeble US vice president. And now for some reason a very small number of people think she would make a great president.

She is about as unelectable a candidate as the Dems could field this time around.

Mark Kelly for president. It's about time we had an American hero as president again. He would be a fantastic contrast to the incredibly toxic, grossly incompetent, and spectacularly corrupt non patriot currently occupying that offfice

Kelly would be fine and he would win in the general, but I don't know if he has the secret sauce / fire in the belly passion needed to win the primary and also the critically important black voters.

Harris is deeply unpopular amongst black voters who don't trust her and don't like her. For good reasons.

As a patriotic American I totally agree with your comments and IMHO the Superpacs will determine who the candidates will be and idiot not fully understanding what is going on voters will determine which of the idiot candidates will further sink the USA an additional IMHO.

He's a traitor. For any sane American this must be infuriating, having a complete moron turning the once proud US into a joke.

"President Donald Trump’s approval rating reached a record-low in two polls this week as gas prices continued to skyrocket amid the Iran war, hitting a four-year high on Thursday."

The political need for a democratic leader who can really meet this moment in American and world history remains unfilled.

Just because we really need a leader of the caliber of Washington and Lincoln now doesn't mean that such a person even exists.

It's clear to me it's not Newsom or Kelly though.
If the person exists, it is more than likely someone currently out of the radar.

After the historic damage indeed empire suicide by Trump (and he may only be getting started) a "safe" choice like Biden was who was sold as now we go back to more normal times simply doesn't even begin to cut it now in the current reality.

It would be foolish to expect such a great leader to emerge but it's clear to me that is what needed now, or the damage Trump did will be set in stone, and the USA will be headed for even more extreme and ingrained anti-democratic fascism. Also of course a less than great leader won't have any weight in trying to repair the damage to the American brand globally. The USA is now a deeply damaged weak much less than a real democracy, not seen as a serious country (more like a rogue state) that you can believe to trust for long term commitments. Having a basic generic democrat president doesn't mean the world will instantly think the USA is a decent predictable partner again. They'll know we did this insanity twice -- so the insanity is much more the brand now other than any temporary periods of relative sanity.

This comment further reinforces how doomed the democratic party is. Please keep using the same language over and over to further dig the party into the ground. Its worked so well over the last decade.

I for one cannot wait for 2028 when all this is over. This deranged rhetoric is finally done and those parroting it for all this time finally fade away.

Stephen A Smith for democrat 2028.

You will never a person like this rise from the ranks of the DNC. The Democrats are broken.

Republicans always have a favorite "democrat" who isn't really a democrat.

Typical and predictable.
