Name 5 that you like. See what they say.

And then follow up with the 5 you do not like, and see what they say.

Probably worth noting that it named 5 posters but did not link them with an " @" so they don't know they have been referenced by it as friends!

I have very few problems with anybody, so I think we would have been fine. ;-)

There is just one member of this forum I could actually imagine meeting in the ring with gloves on. Someone who could use a lesson about real consequences, instead of thinking there are none. And even if it did not go my way, it would still be worth a try.

Yeah lots of anger on here. Might be a post covid thing or just less friendly people. There is only about 5 posters I would want to be in the same room with. The other forums are much more friendly but less posters. It might take a day for a response. On here you get attacked by 3 nuts in 30 minutes.

That's rich, coming from a poster who spends most of his time attacking other posters. Egregious hypocrisy, or severe amnesia.

I am damn sure I would not want to be in a room with you.

I was right from the very beginning. You and @fredwiggy being birds of a feather. Dreaming of violence.

Understand that real consequences are not limited to your imagination and your rules, as you are wont to do here.

Online is online for a reason. Try to keep it separate in your tiny little mind.

In my real world, if someone issues a threat, there is no more talking. Keep it as banter is my suggestion and your wild fantasies to yourself.

You did nothing when someone insulted your wife and and nothing when someone blew smoke in your face. Instead you ran to the forum, b*tching and crying for years.

Please understand that I take any threats seriously and now... you are on my radar.

@Rockyroad Troll post removed. I believe you were recently warned about this behavior by another mod. Tone it down and stay on topic. Personal attacks on other members aren't going to fly.

This goes for everyone else are are attempting to devolve this thread using personal attacks, trolls, and bickering. Stop!

I know a lot about your skills. Unemployed, old and poor. Angry at the world. Hates Trump. Hates anyone not left wing. Not very strong. No ability to engage conversation apart from insults. No good features at all.

The last time I owed money was 1974. I will die solvent, with tidy inheritances for my son and Thai GF.

Every post you make proves your purpose on ASEAN is to provoke everyone you can, in your new incarnation of harrisfan, susanlea, bignok etc.

Goodbye, fool.

We should spar one day. Invite the other guy to join in.

There also used to active and informative sub forums about photography, bikes, farming etc, but these are now less active or dormant.

AN is now endless Left Vs Right political bickering plus some weird members who seem to enjoy creating online spats about nothing of importance.

So if AN disappeared it would make little difference to me. I'd miss the Thai specific news updates, but I get the same or more useful information from the English language news outlets on Facebook.

In reality, perhaps twenty years ago, I spoke to a prominent member who told me that he stopped posting on TV because of all the bickering and abuse.

It has always existed, but in the past there were enough people who wanted to discuss some of the other subjects.

It seems most of those people have disappeared and what is left are narcissists looking to find offence and wanting to tell us how great they are or polarised politics.

Personally I joined to share and to glean information.. During COVID-19 when isolated from loved ones, it was actually a good resource to see where others stood when no one really knew what was going on.

There are still a few of the old guard here with some wisdom to share, but mainly what I see now is just a few monkeys rattling the bars of their cages, jostling for position.

Too much politics. Too many guys over 65yo. If there were more 30 to 55yos the forum would be much better. A lot of posters on here have given up on life. Hating Trump is their last hobby.

It would be even worse if there were only people like yourself...

The problem is intolerance. You are just as intolerant as the old men you are wont to criticise.

I'm open minded. Clint Eastwood is 96 and still working. A man of principle. Drinking Chang and hating Trump is not a life. I admire people who are productive.

I am on my third name change since the old Thaivisa.com days…….can’t remember when I started, but it was shortly after they launched the site, was a prolific poster for a number of years but - the haters came, turned it into anything but a Thailand Forum, started anew, got tired of that and here I am again as a ‘Newbie’………my ‘ignore' list is growing. My tolerance to the prolific ‘thumbs down’ poster that just wants to build up his history, am tempted to just ‘thumbs up’ every time I see it, but that would reduce me sown to his/her/it’s level…..that I refuse to do. If the site disappeared, I’d go back to Youtube more often, lots of legitimate stuff over that way.

I think most people simply find you quite draining...

The kind of person that needs to give a running commentary about anything and everything...

That's nothing to do with age.

Weak, was writing such a stupid thing in the first place...but like your bird of a feather, you don't ever see your own stupidity.

Where did I bring your wife into it? I just repeated a story that you told us. You really are just a donkey.

And if you did remember correctly, I addressed the problem right there and then, face to face with him, in front of her family and kids. He threw the joint into the sea.

And you seem to do this in every lame attempt you make: escalate, lie, twist, and even frame the idea of going into a ring with gloves, where both people agree to spar under rules, as violence. I did not threaten anyone. You took it personally.

Just weak attempts as always, spineless character

Totally agree. He was never judgemental regardless of how obvious the answer was to him/others.

I believe tomorrow may be the anniversary of his passing - three years I think.

Excuse me for asking but what is AN and how do I find it on this forum.

Kind regards,

Retired to do nothing on a budget.

Why would you criticise people :

  • for not working, when it seems you don't, and this is predominately a website used by people who likely did work hard but are now retired and enjoying the fruits of their labour.

  • for spending too much time here and yet you are the no 1 presence. You are here 5 am thai time posting away ;

  • for posting constantly, then you'll have pages of short annoying posts, and pages of useless debate with certain posters that no one wants to read;

  • for talking politics, when you may well be no 1 in terms of posts - normally pro Trump stuff - a lot of cherry picking and one sided.

Point is it shows a lack of self awareness when the things you criticise you do double.
