testosterone testing...where?

Featured Replies

In Pattaya again, need to get testosterone tested....does Lifecare , on third road do that? Also, if need be, what clinic can I get a testosterone injection ,and how much should I be paying? Its also been well over 10 yrs since I had a tetanus shot, which clinic does that. 70 yrs old. Please don't suggest private hospitals....not interested. Thank-you

AI will tell you where and the price. I would say don't do it but you are 70 and I think the benefits far outweigh the negatives "if" you have very low T. You will never be able to go off it without

There are lots of doctors around Pattaya who will give testosterone shots. They would probably be struck off in many countries. Once you start jabs, if not properly monitored, it can become very risky

Lifecare lab can test for that, tetanus should be widely available and cheap, go to your nearest clinic, i go to one on Pattaya Tai and Nern Plub Won. i hear you can get your roids from the Pharmacy on Pattaya 2nd road by Tims gym, then any clinic will inject. More expensive with be Dr Olivier off Thepprasit

You will never be able to go off it without probably huge consequences. It isn't a let me try it and see how it goes type of decision. At 70, you probably will never produce much testerone ever again naturally once going on T-Therapy. Be careful!

Testosterone level testing can be done at public hospitals.

but don't you always have to pay for doctor first?

Yeah, there's a doctor consultation fee, maybe 100 or 200 baht, but it's been my experience that this is more than offset by the relatively low cost of the lab test fees. BTW, I was told that the testosterone lab test was performed in Bangkok, not the local hospital, if that helps alleviate any concerns about the quality/accuracy of the testing. Main drawback is wait time to see doctor, and separate queue at lab station.

Dr Olivier in Jomtien does testing and supplementation therapy I think.

There are lots of doctors around Pattaya who will give testosterone shots. They would probably be struck off in many countries. Once you start jabs, if not properly monitored, it can become very risky, as your body may stop producing it's own making it hard to stop a treatment that can cause infertility, testicular shrinkage, blood clots, heart strain, liver damage, prostate growth, and severe mood changes.

Thickens blood too ...but the OP is 70 so going into his final years anyway

I know too many men age 60+ on blood thinners, and as anyone who once had bloot clot (DVT) know, that kind of extreme pain is something all people seriously want to avoid.

I would pass on testosterone injection, only for that reason alone.

Thanks to @kwilco for very valuable information .

I doubt the 70 year olds are too worried about being infertile and testicle shrinkage.

The guys i know on testosterone don't seem bothered about side effects

Side effects include mood changes and a swollen prostate – so they don't care about being depressed and in agony. Mood changes can affect their ability to drive and relate socially. Pattaya already has enough grumpy old men who pee every five minutes

You're a cyclist and probably know quite a few users. I've never taken it but seen how it improves performance. Sometimes dramatically. My last test 2 weeks ago I was 813 so not needed. I ordered T3 which I thought was free testosterone and I got a thyroid test -oops:) To be honest it is tempting but at 60 it would be on it until death because I would struggle to produce my own after going on it.

Yes – thicker blood is a common and well-documented side effect that can make the heart work harder to circulate blood and potentially raise the risk of cardiovascular events like high blood pressure, blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks – but if you're 70, who cares?????

The mental retardness of trying to feel young again.

Yeah I'm not a fan because even if it's TRT they are tempted to up the dose for performance

Just take 50 to 100 mg DHEA/day. DHEA is a natural precursor to testosterone. I have 1215 ng/dl now . Also have total testosterone tested and free testosterone checked IMG_20260518_055929.jpg

I have been on TRT for about 8 years now. A starting dose should be around 100mg/week. If you can do 50mg twice a week even better. I can't because I do not like needles. I started with getting injections in a clinic, but switched to self injection. I use a 1ml syringe with a 27 gauge 1/2" needle. You do not want to do the every 2 weeks that some people advocate. It is a bad idea.

After starting you should have another blood test in about 3 months to see the effect, you may need to increase the dose, my doctor has me in 140mg/week. Be cautious about doctors who want to start you on an estrogen blocker right away, you do need some estrogen in your system. If you aren't having symptoms, you shouldn't be taking it.

musclemassthailand has testosterone cypionate 250 mg per ml for around $35 for a 10 ml vial. Much better idea than the single use ampules the pharmacies will try to sell you, the vial should be a couple of months supply or more.

Many medical types will tell you to use a larger gauge needle to draw with and switch to a smaller gauge to inject. You can do that, but just using an insulin syringe is easier, cheaper and only takes another minute or so.

As far as your blood getting thicker, I need to donate blood again. If you are O-, you will be very popular with the blood banks. So consider that part of the routine.

I also forgot to mention that I have started injecting into the psoas muscle instead of my quadriceps. Doctors and nurses who I have mentioned it to were surprised, but for me it is easier and less painful. Make you own choices.

I have mine every 3 week, why is that a bad idea ?

And I am sure the ladies on Soi 6 will offer their own unique test for a fee of course

You find sex gross and yet the testosterone raises your sex drive and stamina.

This would impact much of your life. Even simple things like AN posts would come out in a frenzied stream-of-consciousness.

Low-T might induce a state of calmness by reducing inner torment.
