Land Ownership For Prs

Featured Replies

The laws of Thailand have for many decades said that PR holders are allowed to buy one rai of land for residential purposes however when reaching the Land Department this law is ignored and the PR holder is not permitted to register the one rai in his/her name??? Has anyone been able to actually buy and own the property?

The laws of Thailand have for many decades said that PR holders are allowed to buy one rai of land for residential purposes...

That statement contradicts anything I have ever heard about land ownership rights under P.R.

Check the law statutes for Thailand and you will find this true--anyone with a "Bai Tang Dao" is entitled to own one rai of land for residence purposes--the law is not the fact however

never saw such a reference.

can you post it?

Now this one is intersting.

Please post a link or cut and paste or whatever.

Its one of those believe it when you see it things!

Huh?

I can't post a link, but I've heard that a Farang can buy land, but only with the following conditions: No more than 1 rai costing no less than 40 million baht.
