Learning Thai

Featured Replies

I will not be able to attend lessons, for a 6 weeks, will be overseas, but I would like to continue learning, has anyone had any experience with any of these online centres that "promise" so much, eg 360, or so words, but allow most day to day conversations, or learn thai without memorising anything (honestly, they do say that.)

I want packages that includes audio pronunciation.

Regards

I seen a free program on youtube it's called "Learn Thai While You Sleep," it's worth a try.

Best to just enjoy your overseas travel and not worry about it while you're away. A friend of mine was in the same situation, and when he got back to Thailand he signed up for an “intensive night course” where he spent his evenings in go-go bars practicing the numbers in Thai from the ones pinned to the girls’ bikinis. He called it "Thai by the Numbers".

Apparently it worked remarkably well for him. He said 69 was one of the first numbers he learned in Thai, although unfortunately 86 did not work out quite so well.

But if you're still really keen to study while you're traveling, then just practice with any AI chat bot. They can all speak fluently in any language.
