Thai Boyfriends

I don't disagree that the male bonding thing doesn't occur, I do disagree that husband's will exclude their wives or that females are excluded from the social circle. This, I see within my own family, btw, not based on some hypothetical idea, but that many of my younger Thai relatives (and I am talking about early 20's here) interact with the other sex far more than their parents ever did.

My husband rarely shuts up! But he never talks when he is eating, unless it is a social dinner and then he tends not to eat anyway (he'd rather talk!)

Perhaps the posters on here who complain of lack of communication have husbands/boyfriends who have chosen to identify closely with the model their fathers and older brothers provided for them? Still quite a few around.
