Prices of homes cycle, but then rise again in value. Demand eventually rises, making that home worth more in the future, especially if the location is good. Coming here, he has to buy a condo or will have a home that might be his, if he pays 100% like I did, but the land never will, and that makes sale harder in the future. if he's planning to stay here forever, that won't be a problem.

In 20 years time he would have spent all the money ,

If he rented the property out , he would have received the same money (as selling the house) and still have the property in his name to live in or sell .

I knew more about Thailand before you were created, as the US has extensive history classes, and being a history buff, I kept that up after high school, which is the main way you increase your education. Reading and watching documentaries and historical movies.

I was married for 6 years, not months, so try and keep your records straight.

Thailand for the most part is boring, unless you visit the beaches. Sisaket is just like all other major cities , only smaller.I moved to Sisaket because this is where my ex lived, along with my child.

You keep assuming you know what I and others do living here, while never having met anyone here and likely not living here yourself, as many others have noted. I've visited many Thai cities. Most mirror all the others, especially if you've been to the major ones. Only Chiang Mai I haven't seen that has some things others don't, including area hill tribes, but that's accomplished in a couple of days before I leave.
