That's a fun game, but a methodology is needed, to be applied universally.

"Please summarise the main characteristics of user [username] on Thai forum Asean Now" on Gemini sounds fair.

Even this is not required to establish more rigor in this experiment.

What I did, as I already stated here, is just to add the profile name, and then ASEAN-NOW FORUM, into the normal search box in Google Chrome, and then press enter.

Then, I created an exact image of the output.

Then I copied the image here.

Anyone can abide by the rigor of this methodology, if they wish.

But, most do not wish.

They want to enhance the output for various reasons.

I don't care if they do.

Everybody knows that there are scammers here, and now we know who they are.

My interest is in the fact that Gemini, somehow, is able to glean this data from the internet, when...

Before Google's Gemini, this was not possible.

Rather interesting, in my view.

Yes.

As I originally suggested, this is the way pose the query/search, to ensure output for all members is as unbiased as possible.

Would that be rigor-mortis??

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The A.I isn't always accurate .

A.I says about me :

"Handle Origin: The name is a play on Nick Carter (the famous member of the Backstreet Boys), paired with the "icp" suffix, which he adopted when first creating his persona on the expat platform"

Completely wrong, I was listening to this song when making this profile . Neck Cutter

Interestingly (or not), the phrase "Dunning-Kruger" came up in the AI responses from three different engines when asked about a certain forum member!! whistling

Let's play charades!

How many letters in the member's name?

I'm about to assign Detective Google to the task! 555

Gemini is very terse in describing my persona:

Gamb00ler is a registered member of the ASEAN NOW Forum. Their account indicates an interest in specific, profit-driven strategies for niche forms of gambling, while noting the topic has extremely limited written documentation online.

For some reason it focused only on that single topic out of all the topics that I have posted on.

Do you use a safety razor, or the traditional straight razor?

My Gemini query was:

which member of ASEAN-NOW is most likely to suffer from the "Dunning-Kruger" effect

He was too busy to fully explore the assignment and backed out somewhat gracefully:

However, discussions within the expatriate and regional community on ASEAN NOW reveal that specific topics often expose this bias:

  • English Proficiency Rankings: In debates over national education and language skills, users frequently point out how a false sense of fluency can lead to overconfidence. For instance, when individuals overestimate their language command despite ranking lower in formal testing, it mirrors the classic Dunning-Kruger dynamic. [1]

  • Visa and Immigration Policies: Online community discussions frequently highlight individuals who are underinformed about immigration rules but confidently dismiss legal requirements. This overestimation of their own knowledge often results in failed visa runs or immigration penalties

This is NOT a joke, Folks.

If you want to ensure that everything slides back and forth with the greatest of ease....

Then, please use copious amounts of tallow.

Nothing beats tallow to get things moving.

Are you going to ask the question and post the response using "rattlesnake" username?

It seems that something has significantly changed in Gemini's response to queries about AN members. Today I ran identical queries that I had run a few days ago.... the latest responses were much shorter and much more vague than previous responses.

I was quite surprised that AI was previously able to give quite comprehensive responses. I would have thought that AN's owners would not have allowed AI web-crawlers access to so many (perhaps all) of a member's posts. Perhaps the owners have since applied restrictions that limit AI's access to an individual's posting history. I think such a policy is quite reasonable.

Perhaps, and it's all my fault, I suppose?

You are correct that something has changed.

NOW, Gemini is calling me some sort of BLOOD PRODUCT.....

The Google Search with Gemini may be geographical-area dependant.

However, in my view SF has not used the Google Search function.

Instead, he has tried to use one of the AI models, a Gemini Model.

Then he has copied the output from the model.

I just wish that TV Members were able to follow instructions, because...

This is getting like trying to explain where to write one's name in first year, elementary school.

One simply must follow instructions if we are to keep the results uniform on this Topic.

Please only use the Google Search box, and NOT the AI Model, or the Gemini AI model.

1 hour ago, GammaGlobulin said:

Sometimes when I just enter my query in the Brave address bar, I get both a search result and an AI result at the same time. I think I get the AI result if my query asks for explanation, comparison, accruracy.... etc.

From the horses mouth:

No, Gemini cannot access all posts on the AseanNow forum (formerly known as Thaivisa).

Whether Gemini can see or retrieve content from a forum like AseanNow depends on several technical and privacy boundaries:

  • Public vs. Private Sections: Gemini can only access threads that are entirely public and indexed by search engines. Any sub-forums, threads, or content tucked behind a login wall, private member spaces, or hidden from guests are completely locked out.

  • The robots.txt File: Website owners use a standard file called robots.txt to tell AI crawlers (like Google-Extended or Googlebot) what they are allowed to read. If AseanNow explicitly blocks AI bots from specific directories or the entire site, Gemini respects those boundaries and won't crawl them.

  • Live Search Limits: When you ask Gemini to look something up in real-time, it uses Google Search to find relevant, recent pages. It doesn't hold a massive, perfectly updated archive of every single casual comment or thread ever posted on the forum—it relies on what is currently searchable and contextually relevant to your prompt.

In short, while Gemini can find public news dumps or highly active public threads via standard web search grounding, it has no special "backdoor" access to the full forum database or private user content.

Just found a huge flaw in the A.I

I looked my name up and it said this about me :

Polite Clarification: In past forum discussions detailing nightlife encounters—such as inviting someone for a drink outside a Soi 6 bar—he noted that he directly and politely asks "man or woman?". Upon hearing "man," he politely declines any further progression and goes his separate way without issue.

It was actually HappyExpat57 who stated the above and I replied to him .

The post about "man or woman?" was the post that i replied to and I got credited with the post .

Heres the thread
