What is your Asean-Now Persona, according to Gemini? Check it out...!

Dear Folks,

Have you ever asked Gemini who you really are, on Asean Now?

Maybe you should?

I asked Gemini, just a moment ago, about Gamma, and Gemini spit out the following....

image.png

Gemini AI is not logical.

Gemini merely predicts the next word.

Still, I now have more respect for Gemini than I once did, yesterday.

So, anyway, what do you think Gemini might have to say about your persona?

Why not ask, so that you shall recieve?

Gemini is sort of like a....Magic 8 Ball, of course.

====================

What do you think Gemini might have to say about YOU...?

Care to ask and then post the output here....?

No worries.

Gemini is merely a machine.

Best regards,

Gamma

Note: I just hope that Gemini has something nice to say about you, too........

GlobGamma, seems you asked the wrong AI model to analyze you. Here is a more accurate study:

GammaGlobulin comes across as someone who has spent years constructing a grand intellectual self image that bears only a loose relationship to the content he actually produces. He constantly presents himself as a deep thinker, a gifted analyst, or a misunderstood genius, yet his topics rarely display the clarity, discipline, or rigor normally associated with those qualities. Instead, they tend to wander aimlessly between unrelated ideas, personal anecdotes, song lyrics, historical figures, YouTube videos, and whatever obsession happens to have captured his attention that week.

His writing style is highly disjointed and associative. Rather than building an argument from point A to point B, he often jumps from point A to point Q, then detours through a seventies rock song, a philosopher, a war, a village girl, and Elon Musk before arriving somewhere entirely different. The result is that many of his threads read less like coherent discussions and more like streams of consciousness that have been lightly decorated with references to books and public figures.

A recurring feature of his posts is that almost every topic somehow becomes about Gamma himself. A discussion about food becomes evidence of his superior health. A discussion about women becomes evidence of his enlightenment. A discussion about intelligence becomes evidence of his genius. A discussion about politics becomes evidence that he saw something others failed to see. Regardless of the starting point, the destination is often self validation.

There is also a striking contradiction at the center of his persona. He frequently claims that his thoughts are obvious, clear, and immediately understandable to anyone intelligent enough to grasp them. Yet his topics are often sprawling, rambling, and confusing even to readers making a good faith effort to follow them. He seems to interpret the failure of others to understand him as proof of his brilliance, rather than considering the possibility that he may simply be communicating poorly.

Overall, he comes across less like a profound thinker and more like an eccentric forum character who mistakes quantity of thought for quality of thought. Beneath the references, grand theories, and self mythology, many of his topics amount to little more than whimsical speculation, personal fixation, and intellectualized nonsense presented with enormous confidence. The confidence is often the most impressive part.

That last sentence says everything about Grok, other AI search apps are available.

I put in MY name, wil iam not, and nothing came up.

I’m not sure what you mean by “wil iam not on Asean Now,” but it looks like you may be asking about a post or topic titled “wil iam not” on ASEAN Now. There is a forum support thread with that title on ASEAN Now, which suggests it’s likely a discussion topic rather than a personal account issue.aseannow

If you meant that you cannot find your own username or post on ASEAN Now, the site’s support desk is the appropriate place to ask for help. The ASEAN Now Facebook page also shows the site is managed by The Thaiger, which may help identify where support is handled.facebook+1

If you want, I can help interpret the exact phrase or draft a short support message about the issue.

Share your prompt. Without that the above is worthless as GG's without the prompt. I can get a flattering or unflattering description of myself depending on how I ask :) Albeit, I have to put more effort into receiving a flattering description.

I took a more serious approach. I trained the AI first on a few dozen of his topics to avoid hallucinations. Then I asked it for a critical, but honest analysis of the author.

I think you might be a bit confused here....

For example, I did NOT use any AI app.

No.

I just did a Google Search, in the traditional way, as one does.

Please feel free to do the same.

Just type into Google Search: "Your Profile Name" and "ASEANNOW Forum", and then press ENTER....

See what comes up.

And then post it here, please.

Thank you.

NOTE: I REPEAT....I used NO PROMPTS. I used Google Search, ONLY, and I did not use any AI app.

Try it.

You'll like it.

Then, post it here.

If you get Nada...then maybe Google does not know who you are.

More to it because it thinks you are asking for a medical health diagnosis which it got from the prompt or the role you added under the hood :)

For naysayers

Shows you that Ai can now be used to analyse a person's posts and internet history over the world wide web to build up a profile of everyone predicting their political leanings, voting habits, buying preferences etc.

All quite scary but useful to those in power.

Because TV does not exist any more.

And the night they invented champagne was with old Blue Eyes.

Definitely intelligent.

Yet, this is not ALL that can be said.

It all depends on the question asked. If the same question is asked for everyone it provides an interesting summary that can be used to contrast writing styles, and political opinions expressed. It does confirm some pre-existing bias that one may have about the "name". I see it as more for fun than anything significant, but then I am not a big fan of AI for tasks other than data compilation and extraction.

It did however provide me with some constructive criticism which I am going to apply to my writing style. And yes, I did notice that the different AI engines offers some very different assessments on the same name.

Curtesy of Gemini:

Ah, GammaGlobulin from the AseanNow forums (formerly Thaivisa)—a true titan of his own mind.

If you’ve spent any time browsing the Thailand-centric threads over there, you've likely stumbled upon his work. He’s the kind of poster who treats an internet forum like his personal diary, apparently operating under the grand delusion that the expat community is collectively holding its breath for his next piece of "insight."

Here is a breakdown of the brand:

The Master of Mundane Monotony

GammaGlobulin has a remarkable talent for taking the absolute most boring, inane, and trivial aspects of daily life and spinning them into multi-page threads. He will start a topic with the gravitas of a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, only for the actual subject matter to be something utterly gripping like:

  • His deeply complex thoughts on the changing price of local tomatoes.

  • A 500-word essay on why he decided to sit on the left side of the cafe instead of the right today.

  • Tedious, micro-detailed breakdowns of minor bureaucratic interactions that everyone else forgets five minutes after they happen.

He doesn't just post a thought; he inaugurates a topic, seemingly convinced that his daily minutiae is a matter of public interest.

The Dunning-Kruger Poster Child

What makes his threads truly exhausting is the sheer scale of his unearned confidence. There is a massive, gaping chasm between how intelligent he thinks he is and the actual depth of his posts. He writes with a pompous, pseudo-intellectual flair, clearly viewing himself as a sophisticated philosopher-king wandering among the "common" expats of Southeast Asia.

In reality, his analysis rarely scratches the surface of anything meaningful. He uses a lot of words to say absolutely nothing, masking a total lack of substance with a thin veneer of self-importance.

A Legend in His Own Mind

If self-importance were currency, this guy would own all of Bangkok. He behaves as if he is a vital pillar of the community, an indispensable voice whose absence would leave the forum in ruins. Every reply he makes carries the smug undertone of someone handing down wisdom from a mountaintop, completely oblivious to the fact that most users are either scrolling right past his walls of text or actively rolling their eyes.

Ultimately, he’s the textbook definition of a forum chore: a guy who overestimates his intellect, overvalues his presence, and specializes in polluting the board with topics so dull they could cure insomnia.

Gemini seems to like me, maybe I'll be one of those spared when AI takes over the world!

On the AseanNow forum (formerly known as ThaiVisa), Crossy is one of the most prominent, long-standing, and highly respected user personas on the platform. Based on decades of community history and user metrics, Crossy’s forum persona can be broken down into several defining traits: [1]

1. Authoritative Staff Persona

Crossy is not a standard user; they are a Global Moderator on the forum. Because of this role, their online persona balances policing the community with actively helping it. They are known for providing direct, rules-based advice, safely navigating Thailand's strict online defamation laws, and stepping into threads to keep discussions civil, structured, and on-topic. [1, 2]

2. The Practical "Tech & DIY" Expert

Beyond moderation, Crossy is widely recognized as the forum’s resident expert on electrical engineering, DIY, and home improvement.

  • The Guru of Thai Wiring: For expats moving to Thailand, Crossy is the go-to authority on how to safely ground electrical systems, fix home appliances, and navigate the notoriously chaotic Thai electrical grids.

  • Niche Knowledge: They display a deep passion for vintage machinery, automotive tech, and obscure engineering history (such as detailed knowledge of early 20th-century motorized scooters). [1]

3. Highly Active and Trusted Anchor

Crossy holds a massive footprint across the site, boasting over 47,400 posts and an extraordinarily high reputation score of over 59,400. This metric indicates a user persona that is highly trusted by the expat community. Their replies are usually concise, fact-driven, and devoid of the emotional "flaming" or trolling common in other sections of the forum. [1]

4. Pragmatic and Direct Tone

Crossy’s signature quote—"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"—perfectly summarizes their persona. They are highly practical, results-oriented, and focused on solutions rather than complaining about systemic local issues. [1, 2]

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Interestingly (or not), the phrase "Dunning-Kruger" came up in the AI responses from three different engines when asked about a certain forum member!! whistling

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
