American Food Shortages and Skyrocketing Prices: Is this true?

This is the consequence of getting your news from YouTube. There are no food shortages.

No food shortages, but food prices are way over the top due to tariffs and cost of fuel to transport. To say the food prices are about the same is complete B.S. 12oz bag of coffee I used to get at

  • I'm posting from the USA. No food storages. Prices are about the same. Some of the items I buy are down. Gas is down about $1 from last month.

Didn't they fire the real people working at the BLS and replace them with Trump sycophants? Hardly a reliable source for data any more.

If you possess any evidence or information that contradicts this claim, we encourage you to share it. Your input is invaluable.

Is that in Cambodia? where you are living.

People have to consider also, the minimum wage has doubled, if not more in many areas.

Food is the least of folks problems, as the housing market is the real killer.

Off Topic costs ... If you don't qualify for Medicare/Aid, then healthcare is also silly priced. The only 2 economic issues that keep from even thinking about returning to USA. Medicare not too bad, unless like me, haven't had Plan B for 20+ yrs, so would be expensive to start again.

Under Medicare, if having health issues, then it is usually cheaper than TH, having surgery or procedures performed. I've compared some procedures that I've had done here with USA pricing, (endo/colon scope, cataract, CT Scan, Ultrasound) and if done via Medicare, much cheaper than TH private or even govt hospitals, IF, you self insure as I do. Pharmacy is usually much cheaper in TH.

Yes.

America has already tanked, as is clear.

The USA is for the Super-Rich, now, and many come from abroad to enjoy life....if they have over USD100 million, as a bare minimum.

What I do not understand, actually, is why the people in the USA do not revolt.

Of course, I know why: Mind control, propaganda, and the ability of those who rule the USA to divert attention from real issues during elections, which are ongoing and never end.

But, as I often say, and it is true, Americans are a very Dumb Bunch of people who are easily hoodwinked, and I am not the only one who says so.

Think PT Barnum, for example.

So, this is why Americans do not revolt.

They do not realized that others, in other parts of the world, have it much better than they.

Again, it is a matter of BELIEF, and .....

Americans are willing to believe ANYTHING....

Highest rates of reliosity, too.

We cannot change the world, and we can not change the views of people who call themselves either Republican or Democrats.

Hopeless causes, theses two groups, by the way.

When people do not have easy access to quality food, then this is a food shortage.

Probably, he is living in one of those low cost of living places, such a La Jolla, CA.

I hope the price of cereal continues to rise because it’s not good for one’s health.

Quite a few brands are excellent choices for fiber, carbs for energy, minerals and some vitamins. You have to read labels as most of the cereals are aimed at children, loaded with sugar. I've been buying healthy cereal for decades and even brought some back when I last visited Texas. One of the many reasons we'll be going back. Availability. My daughter says prices are fluctuating all the time, depending on stores and location also.

You mean...

You are returning to the USA in order to get good cereal?

WFT are you talking about. Why should Americans revolt. Why do people like you always try to paint the USA a some sort of dystopia?

You've been away from the US for way too long. Americans are neither hoodwinked or dumb, although, like everywhere else, many are. It's still a great country with everything anyone could want in one place, and thousands still move there yearly. People are struggling all over the world. Many are poor and just get by in every country, including the ones not considered poor.

Either some are only tourists and think they're experts on things USA, or, like him, have been gone too long. When the Asian paradise falls short, they'll be bitter because they have to stay because of a woman. Those who fit in here are the exception, as they found good women and cheaper living.

Thailand does have cheaper living. But, the average wage is between 15 and 20,000 baht per month. Which is 460 to 617 dollars per month. From a Western prospective that not a lot of money. This why people from the West feel like kings in Thailand. The West overall is expensive.

Yes, and that's the only thing I'm not looking forward to upon returning. It's home, so better for my daughter and I in the long run.

OK, but what we really need much more of, in the USA, is civil disobedience, and ANARCHY, until the Super-Elite are pulled down off their high horses.

Who are the super elite who you want pulled down? Name some names.

so, I guess you are referring to the RAMPANT WEALTH INEQUALITY in the USA, which is wider, in its devide, than almost anywhere else on Earth.

Congratulations for that, Uncle Sam.

But, mostly congratulations to the skewed laws which promote inequality.

America is a thousand times better for girls especially, for education, a mate and a chance to have a much better future. It's home for me also, so I can enjoy my hobbies where i can't here.

Look at the inequality between the rich and poor here, as it's much larger with far less middle class.

American Food Shortages and Skyrocketing Prices: Is this true?

Dear Folks,

Sometimes we watch YT vids and we can’t tell what might be reflective of the true state of affairs in our home countries, and what might be just fabrication in order to get views.

For example:

Here is a guy, Mike Bordenaro, who is shouting from the rooftops about dire food shortages and exploding food prices in America, these days.

Is this true?

Is America really this expensive, these days?

If so, then….

We ain’t NEVER going back.

Still…what is the truth?

How would we really know without returning to America, or some other “home country”, just in case you are not American?

Also, if the American situation is actually this dire, then China must be TEN-times better, at the moment, even with China’s own challenges.

If this is true:  Then, this is a real shocker. How could things have ever devolved and spiralled down so radically, ….since I was last in the USA….when Bill Clinton was elected?

Any good and insightful thoughts?

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  Thankfully, I have an utter disliking for American breakfast cereal, if it costs, according to this vid, about 8USD for a small box.

And, who does not know by now.....American breakfast cereal is basically just garbage in a cardboard box, and they still charge you for it?

After watching the vid for a few seconds, I realize this biased YT'er is filming from California....so no surprise there. He also mentioned the price of grapes with a comparison of prices of today vice 20 years ago. Hint: Saltine crackers has risen approx. 60% since 20 years ago.

If I had to guess, this snowflake is a far left liberal and voted for Hillary, Obama, Kamala, and Gavin. So again, no surprise he (no assumption of gender intended) sees the US as unlivable. He should move to Canada...the cost of living is so much better there 😏

Yes.

All people put in equal effort.

However, some are FAR MORE LUCKY than others.

No they don't.
